An Indian domestic worker was repeatedly raped and beaten by her employers who threatened to murder her if she complained, a court heard.
The 39-year-old vulnerable and illiterate mother-of-four was used as a ‘sexual toy’ and ‘general dogsbody’ by an extended family and their friend who forced her to become their slave for a total of six years.
She was scalded with boiling water, burned with a hot iron, beaten and threatened her throat would be cut and her body buried in a back garden if she didn’t do as she was told, a jury were told today.
Despite the woman approaching numerous agencies for help, Croydon Crown Court heard how the abuse continued.
Employers: A court heard that Aleemuddin Mohammed, 44, and his wife Shamina Yousuf, 42, assaulted the woman and paid her just £24 during the two years and eight months she ‘worked as their slave’

Also noteworthy – the Mail Online’s admission that ‘legal reasons’ prevent them from accepting comments on said article.
Gringo, this trial is ongoing and therefor other than straightforward reporting of the course of the trial itself the case is considered ‘sub judice’ and all media are forbidden by law to speculate or permit speculation and any comment that may prejuduce the course of justice.
It is not just this case that the DM is not accepting comments on for it and other media follow this practice whilst any case is in progress. Once a judgement is made then the the DM does, and will in this case, permit comment.
Keep an eye on it, gringo, and it will eventually be opened up for comment and that is when it gets very interesting indeed.

Why did our politicians open the doors to these savages? And when the worm turns, these same politicians will disavow all culpability.
The agencies that failed her need to be investigated and any complaints made to them under similar circumstances should be re-opened. The fact that these agencies even exist is proof enough to suggest that this “39 year old, illiterate mother of 4, Indian domestic worker” is not an isolated case. It boggles the mind to consider how many of these domestic ‘slaves’ remain hidden/incarcerated in plain sight. Perhaps one day soon, we’ll wake to news of massive raids on thousands of homes harboring illegally traffic’d domestic slaves. Any resident of a Western country who is found to have taken part in such heinous contempt for human rights should be publicly exposed, stripped of citizenship/visa, forced to make financially whole their victim(s) (including reimbursement of national authorities expenses) and face immediate deportation.
