Afghanistan and Iraq weren’t about oil, Libya and Mali are about oil, if Europe wants the oil they are going to have to build up their military forces and go defend their oil sources. Right now the only dog the US has in this fight is to stop the spread of Islam we aren’t intellectually ready to fight that war yet.
The man has the right idea about what we should do if we are once again attacked.
He is right about nation building, the only way you can build a nation is knock it flat and stomp on everyone, they you can rebuild the nation the way you want. They will then stay loyal as long as they think you have the guts to go in and kick them flat again.
