Pajamas Media: Iran Turns Up the Heat in the Gulf

On May 16, according to the state-owned Fars News Agency, Iran is going to send what they call an aid flotilla from the southern port city of Bushehr. Its destination? Bahrain. In addition to aid, the report stated, the flotilla will convey the Iranian people’s message — “Solidarity with Oppressed Bahraini People.”

But that is not all. Reports from inside Iran state that the flotilla will be carrying the martyrdom forces destined to be the start of a new confrontation with the kingdom in Bahrain.

The radical Islamic organization Ansar Hezbollah — consisting of Islamist thugs and ardent supporters of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei who have been at the forefront in the brutal suppression of Iranian demonstrators — has now assembled volunteers, mostly from Basij forces, for a martyrdom mission to Bahrain.

They are also preparing suicide bombers, in coordination with the Guards’ Quds Force, for attacks on Bahraini and Saudi interests.

In a recent interview with www.ammariyon.ir, a site affiliated with the conservative camp in Tehran, former Revolutionary Guards officer and founder of Ansar Hezbollah Hossein Allah-Karam provided details of the strategy designed to assist the revolutionaries in Bahrain, Gaza, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and more.

A key part of that strategy, Allah-Karam revealed, involves registering volunteers willing to go to the conflict areas to carry out suicide missions.

  1. The competition to see which branch of Islam controls the Caliphate has started. This won’t stop them from attacking us, and doing it together but it will draw some of their forces away from us.

  2. How the hell are they going to dock it? Would Bahranian just allow an enemy ship filled with forign fighters to dock?

A fair amount of that flotilla will be warships that will threaten to fire on the port if the ships are not allowed to dock and release what is essentially an invaison force.

Though if they wanted to send fighters couldn’t they just use small ships at night? It is a very long coastline.

It could be that the Iranians will send the fighters on other ships and use the flotilla to attract attention away from the ships ferrying fighters, releasing them into bahrain or somewhere else while everyone is focusing their attention on the flotilla.

  3. More brown circumcised male upon brown cricumcised male violence. And I hear Obama is off on another islam is a great thing speaking tour for the BCM crew in the middleeast. I am glad. This will sicken the american public and dent his reelection chances.

  4. By the way we are taking about the Iranians who are normally big on talk but useless in actually doing anything. So I will see it when i see it. Remember the nuclear thing. Needed Russian help and then Stuxnet virus took that out. All talk and we had to put up with that for years. Could be more talk from the arab conquered BCM.

  5. jjk999 for a major invasion you need heavy weapons that are difficult to transport on small vessels and difficult to land on most beaches, during WWII the US developed special landing craft for the heavy weapons and often built steel plank roads off the beach. Landing at a port where you can use the dockside cranes is much easier. Although I would want a light infantry unit to take the dock area prior to my arrival.
