From Swedish school tests to Toronto temples, Islamic immigration makes its mark: Links 1 on July 29 – 2015

1. 13-year-old boy detained for trying to join Isis

The boy had been living in a juvenile shelter in Dachau before travelling to Turkey, reports Erasmus Monitoring, a blog which covers developments in the Islamist scene in Germany.

Newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung confirmed the veracity of the story with security officials on Tuesday.

The blog reported that the boy, whom it identified as Erkan, travelled through Europe on a fake passport with a female cousin. Their goal was Raqqa, the “capital city” of Isis’ self-proclaimed Islamic caliphate.

2. Copenhagen gunman ‘stars’ in Isis recruit ad

The man behind the Copenhagen shootings in February has now been featured in the latest edition of an Isis propaganda magazine, hailing him as a ‘soldier of the Caliphate’.

Omar El-Hussein, the gunman who killed two civilians and wounded six police officers in the Copenhagen shootings in February this year, has now appeared in Isis recruitment material, according to Berlingske.

The latest version of the Isis publication Dabiq – named after a town that features in Islamic prophecies as an end-of-times battlefield between Muslims and Christians – features a number of people whom have been responsible for attacks on Western targets in the past year, including El-Hussein.

3. USA Today: Islamic State recruitment document seeks to provoke ‘end of the world’

An apparent Islamic State recruitment document found in Pakistan’s lawless tribal lands reveals that the extremist group has grand ambitions of building a new terrorist army in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and triggering a war in India to provoke an Armageddon-like “end of the world.”

The 32-page Urdu-language document obtained by American Media Institute (AMI) and reviewed by USA TODAY details a plot to attack U.S. soldiers as they withdraw from Afghanistan and target American diplomats and Pakistani officials.

AMI obtained the document from a Pakistani citizen with connections inside the Pakistani Taliban and had it independently translated from Urdu by Harvard researcher and translator Mustafa Samdani. The Pakistani’s identity was shared with USA TODAY, which has agreed not to identify him publicly because of concerns for his safety.

The document was reviewed by three U.S. intelligence officials, who said they believe the document is authentic based on its unique markings and the fact that language used to describe leaders, the writing style and religious wording match other documents from the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS. They asked to remain anonymous because they are not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

5. A gay pride march took place the other day through Rinkby Sweden with predictable results. The article at Snaphanen doesn’t cover how the media is dealing with two of its favored groups at odds. Which would be a very interesting study. Video below and thank you Liberty Dk. for looking it over for us. Click over to Snaphanen with Google Translate for any missed info bits.

(In the video, muslims chant anti gay taunts and insults etc. and demand to know why they are there, in a muslim area)

6. Here is an interesting graph. It shows the decline in test results for students in Sweden as a result of mass immigration. The top curve is ethnic Swedes, the second graph is total student population. Conspicuously and staggeringly important line missing, is the ‘students of foreign origin only’. Funny that. 8. Toronto Jewish community on alert after threats by hooded men taking photos of synagogue

(Article at National Post)

TORONTO — The greater Toronto Jewish community is disquieted and on the alert after three hooded men took photos and yelled threats outside a Thornhill synagogue.

York Regional Police received a call from Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto (BAYT) on Friday, according to Const. Laura Nicolle. That afternoon, alerts went out via email and social media from synagogues across the GTA.

“This past Wednesday night, three men with concealed faces were observed taking photos of BAYT,’’ read one alert posted to Facebook and viewed by more than 20,000 people. ‘‘When they were approached, they yelled “F— Jews. Watch!”, jumped into their black Volkswagen Golf and drove off. The car’s licence plates were covered. Unfortunately, they were out of range of the BAYT cameras. Please be alert when walking, especially near our shul, and be on the look-out for such vehicles and/or people.”

Thank you Maria J., M., Nicolai Sennels, Richard, Liberty Dk., Buck, WTD., and many more for your continued efforts.

The policy of not posting materials (to the main posts) that deal with US internal issues unless they are relevant to islam or totalitarian leftism, is a policy, to borrow from the Bard, “more honored in the breach than the observance” here at VladTepesBlog. It is one that we struggle with however as so much comes up that is so important but which isn’t really what we are after and as tempting as it may be, we must leave it out. Not to say that it shouldn’t be in the comments or discussed, but it is easy to become entranced by partizan issues and lose the focus.

Even so, this story about an illegal that did a staggering amount of harm to many really good people deserves to be seen. Yes, this is because Obama’s policies are leading to many such cases today and one wonders if that was the intent, but also to share in the victim’s grief and frustration. It is always possible that enough public outrage can get, if not Obama’s policy to change, the implementation of it can be radically altered. After all, at the end of the day, its down to the public. Volunteers at the border like volunteers outside military recruitment centers etc. As government agencies betray their purpose, its down to us and we can do the things that need doing.

Also there was an ongoing discussion about a rocket engine that shouldn’t work but claims exist that it does, which has been the subject of some discussion here, There is new information on it here. I have no idea if this is valid science or not but its interesting that it remains in the news. The comments are fun also.

    • I caught the space but around 1956 and have never lost it, I really hope this drive works, the German university is the 4th experiment that is suppose to have shown acceleration. Who knows it may work.

    • This is the 4th place the drive has been tested and shown acceleration, 1st was the Physicist that developed the drive then the Chinese Space program then NASA and now a university in Germany. all are seeing acceleration in roughly the same amount. I know this seems to violate the laws of physics but either 1) all four people or organizations are lying 2) all four sets of equipment and meters developed the same problem and reported the same false data, 3) we don’t understand the process well enough to understand it 4) we don’t know enough about the laws of physics.

      • The ‘laws of physics’ only exist within a certain matrix of understanding of reality. Obviously as people discover more about the properties of the universe, new possibilities based on those properties must exist. One example is quantum tunneling, which, it seems to me, violate relativity as the particles, which have now been shown to be entangled in such a way that it can carry information, exceeds the speed of light. Eventually it may be shown that space is folded and so it does not, but the effect will be that it does for practical purposes.

This is what I think of as ‘finessing reality’ which is basically how all progress is made today, from exceeding the number of transistors possible on a silicone wafer by etching the shadows, to this engine.

Someday vacuum energy may even be possible. Hell it seems to me that magnets violate some laws as they seem to be able to produce force from nothing. I expect better minds than mine will try and explain that to me in a way I can understand.

        • I don’t know the full story about the engine and was busy when I heard the physicist who started the work on the engine, he said that this one Eastern European physicist of the 1800s had been mistranslated by some one that hated him, others didn’t take the time to read the original works. He then learned the language and went back to the original works and that since NASA and other big groups were working on the engine he would move on because he thinks that by applying what ever principle that is being used differently anti-gravity could be discovered. I don’t know enough to know what is happening but I do know that NASA is hard up for money and wouldn’t be researching this if there wasn’t a good chance it really works.

I don’t remember the name of either physicists I was trying to hear the report and keep food from burning at the same time. And doing this with a nasty back ache.

        • From past comments I think you read SF, If so have you ever read Doc Taylor, Travis s. Taylor he has a Doctorate in Optics and a bunch of other degrees, he teaches at the University of Alabama at Huntsville as well as consulting with NASA and the Dept of Defense, He also writes text books and SF. The latter read like comic books but this is because he is trying to get kids interested in Science. In the afterword to his second book he said that all of the Science in his books would always be real even it it sounds like he made it up. While his space drive in the books doesn’t work like the EM drive (at least I don’t think it does) and I don’t know that the EM drive is the one that he is working on for NASA but some portion of my brain made the connection with out reaching the front part. My brain may have made a wrong connection but the arguments about 4 different places getting the same result still holds.

Fox&Friends reporting Mullah Omar died two years ago from tuberculosis as picked up from a Pakistani paper by USAToday .

Later in a repeat discussion of that report, F&F added…(advise to take any hypertension Rx before continuing)…the Bengazi 5 / Bergdahl exchange (—Mohammad Fazl, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mullah Norullah Nori, Khairullah Khairkhwa, Mohammed Nabi)…were Mullah Omar’s top men and one is likely to replace his command.
This suggests that Obama was aware of the mullah’s demise and negotiated/cooperated in releasing Mullah Omar’s men to fill the void.

The Fox & Friends video segment (second half of 7 am hour) involving the details about the Bengazi 5 component was provided by a guest (non-uniformed military-type male) who provided specific identities of the subgroups involved with Mullah Omar and the five GITMO detainees. To this hour, F&F has not posted that segment of the video online and I cannot find any mention of this anywhere else.

    • This fits into my continuing contention that Obama a Shiite and is working to destroy the US, so does the information about the best man and Kerry’s daughters wedding.

      • Always look at all of his actions and their results, the pattern will tell you more than any single action and a whole lot more then the speeches the politicians make. This is why the left says that it is dirty politics to bring up someones record of achievement and voting record.

    • Update:

Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour was appointed leader at a meeting of the Taliban’s top representatives, many of whom are based in the Pakistani city of Quetta, according to the sources who were present at the shura, or gathering. “The shura held outside Quetta unanimously elected Mullah Mansour as the new emir of the Taliban,” said one commander at the Wednesday night meeting. “The shura will release a statement shortly.”
Siraj Haqqani, leader of the powerful Haqqani militant faction, will be a deputy to Mansour, both commanders added. Mansour will be only the second leader the Taliban have had, because Omar, an elusive figure rarely seen in public, founded the ultra-conservative Islamist movement in the 1990s. The Taliban eventually conquered most of Afghanistan, imposing strict Islamic law before being driven from power in 2001 by a U.S.-led military intervention. “There has always been Mullah Omar. So this is a completely new situation,” said Bette Dam, author of an upcoming biography of the Taliban leader.

NBCNews 6/6/2014: Freed Taliban Commander Tells Relative He’ll Fight Americans Again “After arriving in Qatar, Noorullah Noori kept insisting he would go to Afghanistan and fight American forces there,” a Taliban commander told NBC News via telephone from Afghanistan.
Under the terms of the deal, the former commanders would remain under the control of the government of Qatar for one year and be subject to “restrictions on their movement and activities,” a senior U.S. official has told NBC News –- including a one-year travel ban. A diplomatic source later told NBC News that their movements within the Arab emirate are not restricted.

“Khairkhwa was the most senior Taliban member on this list, but, according to Clark, was known as a relative moderate inside the militant group. Allegedly linked to the opium trade. Anand Gopal, an expert on the Taliban at the New America Foundation, thinks some of them could pose a real threat. “Of the five released Taliban,” he writes, “only 2 have the potential to make an appreciable impact on the battlefield: Fazl & Noori…Khairkhwa isn’t a military commander, and the other two are mid-level.”

The key question about Fazl and Noori going forward, then, is how they’ll integrate with the modern Taliban. Both of them were detained in 2001, so they haven’t had an organizational role in the Taliban in well over a decade. Will they be mesh well with the way the organization is structured today?”

Former Guantanamo detainee Mullah Zakir supports new Taliban emir

          BY BILL ROGGIO | August 2, 2015 | ad***@lo************.org | @billroggio
Mullah Adbul Qayoum Zakir, a member of the Taliban’s executive council and the group’s former military commander, denied reports that he disagrees with the appointment of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour as the replacement for deceased Taliban emir Mullah Omar. Zakir is a former detainee at Guantanamo Bay who is an influential leader in the jihadist group.
statement attributed to Zakir, whose real name is Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, was released on July 31 on Voice of Jihad, the official propaganda website of the Afghan Taliban. Zakir refuted claims by other members of the rahbari shura, the Taliban’s top decision making body which is also known as the Quetta Shura, that he is “in conflict” with Mansour.
