1. Pakistan mosque bomb blast in Shikarpur kills dozens

2. Nigerian mobs stone president’s convoy over Boko Haram

Kano, Nigeria (CNN)Angry mobs upset over the handling of militant group Boko Haram on Thursday pelted the motorcade of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.

The protesters hurled stones at the convoy as it left the palace of a traditional chief in Jalingo, the capital of the northeastern state of Taraba, where Jonathan had gone on a courtesy call before holding a rally as part of his re-election campaign.

Nigerians will vote for their next president February 14.

Several vehicles were damaged in the attack, according to witnesses.

“As soon the convoy left the palace of the emir of Muri, the crowd threw stones and broke the windscreens of several vehicles and dented others,” said Jalingo resident Clement Moses.

(Given that Boko Haram now controls a country larger than Belgium at the cost of tens of thousands of slaughtered Christian and non-muslim Nigerians, I can see why the general public might resent the presidents campaign motorcade)

3. Boko Haram crisis: Chad ‘captures Nigerian town from militants’

Chad’s army has driven Boko Haram militants out of Malumfatori town in north-eastern Nigeria, a senior official from Niger has told the BBC.

The reported capture of the town, which lies near the borders of Chad and Niger, follows two days of fighting.

Both ground and air forces are reported to have been used in the assault.

4. Open Jihad Declared in Egypt Following State Dept. Meeting with Muslim Brotherhood-Aligned Leaders

The Muslim Brotherhood called for “a long, uncompromising jihad” in Egypt just days after a delegation of the Islamist group’s key leaders and allies met with the State Department, according to an official statement released this week.

Just days after a delegation that included two top Brotherhood leaders was hosted at the State Department, the organization released an official statement calling on its supporters to “prepare” for jihad, according to an independent translation of the statement first posted on Tuesday.

The statement also was issued just two days before a major terror attack Thursday in Egypt’s lawless Sinai region that killed at least 25.

“It is incumbent upon everyone to be aware that we are in the process of a new phase, where we summon what is latent in our strength, where we recall the meanings of jihad and prepare ourselves, our wives, our sons, our daughters, and whoever marched on our path to a long, uncompromising jihad, and during this stage we ask for martyrdom,” it states.

Analysis:

5. Carolyn Glick on Iran and the recent Israeli strike on military facilities in Syria. One paragraph particularly haunts me still:

[…] While the Obama administration did perhaps refuse to serve as Iran’s messenger, it has worked to deter Israel from striking Hezbollah and Iranian targets in Syria. Whereas Israel has a policy of never acknowledging responsibility for its military operations in Syria, in order to give President Bashar Assad an excuse to not retaliate, the US administration has repeatedly informed the media of Israeli attacks and so increased the risk that such Israeli operations will lead to counterattacks against Israel. […]

6. Boris Johnson uses a slur against Islamic State recruits that is so old and so overused that one wonders who will care this time just because it is far more true than usual.

Boris Johnson has said that Islamic jihadists are “literally w*****s” who turn to extremism when “they are rejected by women”.

The London Mayor claimed, in an interview for The Sun, that the individuals who travel to Syria and Iraq to fight for Isis, also known as the Islamic State, needed to be demystified after he was handed an MI5 probe revealing the ‘typical’ profile of many of the young men.

Mr Johnson, 50, said: “If you look at all the psychological profiling about bombers, they typically will look at porn. They are literally w*****s. Severe onanists.”

“The problem is, every group has labelled every enemy group that since the first proto human threw a rock at another proto human, to the point where one of the most popular sports teams in the world is actually called, ‘The Yankees’)

7. Paul Weston: Immigration floodgates are still open

Thank you Wrath of Khan, M., Don C. Buck, and all. More to come I would wager.

  1. @ 5 Her analysis is adding more evidence to my theory that the conventional military being given to the young men in Gaza is to they can make a major conventional attack in the South after a very large attack is made in the North. The videos they are posting are to force the Israelis to keep large numbers of personal in the South to make it easier for the attackers in the North. Any attack in the South will probably be a spoiling attack to hold the Israeli forces attention and prevent them being used to reinforce the north.

The paragraph you printed tells a lot about what Obama is probably doing, it also gives evidence to my theory that the major attack on Israel will come before he leaves office so he can do his best to prevent us from resupplying Israel with the ammo they will be using up in their defense of their homeland.

    • Thanks, all for enlightening me.
I’m sure he’s quite right. If only they did just that, in their room back at Momma’s house.

  2. @4 Anyone want to bet that at the meeting the Brotherhood types were given assurances that the US won’t give Egypt any help to prevent the Brotherhood from once again taking over.

The article I posted yesterday said that one of the things that needs to happen before the Madhi can return is massive turmoil and fighting in Egypt. Just commenting on this.

    • What’s most disturbing is that the MB have infiltrated both parties, as well as the intelligence community. We won’t unearth them for a long time.

      • That we won’t, it will be a long hard process, just like finding the Soviet moles in the US gov, in fact we never did find all of them and some are now working for Putin.

        • Here’s a hopeful thought:

These days much more data is collected, gets around. We may learn more from enterprising young WikiLeakers or whistle-blowers or attention-seeking, spotty-faced adolescents.

    • And by not calling it “terrorism”, Obama can keep claiming that he’s winning the “War on Terror” without actually lying. It seemed that the only thing Barry got out of law school was a keen understanding of how to lie like the thief of Baghdad, but in such a way that he can always wriggle out of it later if anybody calls him on it. What a snake…

    Wusses, Weenies, Wankers?

This is like Wheel of Fortune for persons with barstool vocabularies.

    • Reporting on islamic terror in the Western world is entirely based on Wheel of Fortune.

The number of times we have posted on a person arrested after committing some pre-911 normal horrific barbarity on someone and no name is given and I have resorted to:

“Vanna I’ll take an M and buy an O and a U please” is too frequent to count.
