It won’t be a surprise to anyone but it may be the undoing of attempts to suppress an important set of cause and effect events this week which need to be understood if we hope to solve this problem with minimum bloodshed, destruction and loss of treasure. #3 I don’t think I go looking for things to be annoyed about but, the idea of the creche being taken down at the Montreal hospital really bothers me. BTW, these Nuns were French.
I just did some reading about the Grey Nuns who established health care in Canada and it pains me to read the uninformed comments on this subject.
When you read about what these women did to come to Canada, a wilderness, with a belief in a Catholic God and bring the best healing that they knew at the time; to take in the poor, the sick, the indigent. I just wonder if anyone walking past the historical creche has any idea of the sacrifice these nuns took to bring the country of Canada to existence.
But no, we now live in a “this bothers me world even though I know nothing about how this nation came to be.”
I swear it almost makes me want to be a Grey Nun after reading about the incredible achievements they have made. To deny an historic creche at their founding hospital is just plain ignorance and brainwashing.
If the general public were asked “Who were the Grey Nuns and what did they do for Canada” I bet 99% of the population wouldn’t be able to answer.
