Muslims ramp up for all the killing in 2015 by doing more killing now: Links post 1 for Dec. 16 – 2014

1. Failed bombers who tried to blow up the tube on July 21 2005 just two weeks after 7/7 attack killed 52 people lose appeal against conviction

Four terrorists jailed for their part in a plot to blow up London’s Tube and bus network two weeks after 7/7 have today lost an appeal against their convictions at the European Court of Human Rights.

Muktar Said Ibrahim, Ramzi Mohammed and Yassin Omar claimed it was unfair they were denied access to lawyers during police questioning and statements they gave were subsequently used at trial.

Ismail Abdurahman – who was convicted of assisting one of the bombers – also claimed his trial was unfair as a statement he provided as a witness, rather than a suspect, was used against him.

3. German Leader Denounces Anti-Immigrant Surge

(The regular German leaders must be getting very nervous if they are starting to use these kinds of tactics and misinformation. The anti-Islam movement in Germany is classically liberal and opposes Islam because of its totalitarian, racist and intolerant views and ambitions. There will be Nazis infiltrating them the same way communists have infiltrated the movement for public health care in the US but that doesn’t make it a commie movement)

BERLIN — With visible and vocal far-right protests against foreigners swelling in Germany in recent weeks, Chancellor Angela Merkel forcefully denounced the demonstrations on Monday, affirming that the country has both a special obligation and a desire to welcome anyone in need of sanctuary.

More than 150,000 people sought asylum in Germany in the first 11 months of this year, many of them refugees fleeing the conflict in Syria, straining the country’s ability to house them. In addition, a looming labor shortage means Germany is increasingly attracting immigrants to work here.

Merkel says:

“There is freedom of assembly in Germany but there is no place here for incitement and lies about people who come to us from other countries,” Ms. Merkel told reporters on Monday, hours before a group opposing alleged “Islamization” held its ninth weekly protest in Dresden, where attendance has swelled from a few hundred to 15,000 this week.

While she lies about who is protesting and why. Truly a sad sign of the times.

  2. AFGHANISTAN- Pentagon Sent Afghan Jewelers on Lavish ‘Months-Long Gem Training Programs’

Pentagon task force in Afghanistan spent taxpayer funds on frivolous travel

A Pentagon task force in Afghanistan is under investigation for wasting taxpayer dollars to send Afghan jewelers on lavish “gem training” trips to India, Paris, and Milan, according to findings by a government watchdog.

The Pentagon’s Task Force for Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO) in Afghanistan is being accused of “imprudent spending, profligate travel by employees and contractors, and possible mismanagement” of its programs, according to a letter sent this month by the Special Inspector General for Afghan Reconstruction (SIGAR) to outgoing Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

The TFBSO was provided $700 million in taxpayer funds to pursue, among other things, the development of Afghanistan’s gem industry.

  4. 2/ The Kanishka stupa was a monumental stupa established by the Kushan king Kanishka during the 2nd century CE on the outskirts of Peshawar… The stupa was described by Chinese pilgrims in the 7th century as the tallest stupa in all India… The stupa was discovered and excavated in 1908–1909 by a British archaeological mission, and led to the discovery in its base of the Kanishka casket, a six-sided rock crystal reliquary containing three small fragments of bone, relics of the Buddha (which were transferred to Mandalay, Burma for safekeeping, where they still remain)… The site has not been preserved and is now a slum…

    • Going south-east from this, crossing mountains and valleys for 500 li or so, we arrive at the kingdom of Gandhara… The country is rich in cereals, and produces a variety of flowers and fruits; it abounds also in sugar-cane, from the juice of which they prepare ‘the solid sugar.’ The climate is warm and moist, and in general without ice or snow. The disposition of the people is timid and soft: they love literature; most of them belong to the heretical schools; a few believe in the true law…
