Police say the raids in Sydney yesterday morning foiled a horrifying plot to behead a random member of the Australian public in Sydney’s Martin Place, drape them in an Islamic State flag and behead them on camera.

This morning, terrifying new details have emerged about the plot, with Prime Minister Tony Abbott revealing on Channel Nine’s Today show the beheading was planned to take place “within days”.

CB sashenka says that this location is near Parliament as well as a business hub for the area.

TWITTER posts are saying that the BBC is claiming that the hostages have been fitted with backpacks. I can’t find that anywhere. But it would be consistent with islamic Modus Operandi.

A source has said the gunmen have claimed to have devices all over the city and want to speak to the Prime Minister live on radio.

Police Spokesman:

At 1.30pm, during rolling coverage, 2GB producer Laura Parr tweeted: “Ray Hadley says he could hear gunman giving instructions to young hostage off air. Told to call him back in 10 minutes.’’

By 1.38pm NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione confirmed the person who rang Hadley was a hostage.

It’s understood Hadley has passed details regarding the call directly to investigators.

“To clarify, Ray Hadley was contacted by the hostage, the call was taken off air and then confirmed by the Police Commissioner,” the station tweeted.

About 50 people remain inside the Lindt cafe as the siege enters its fifth hour.

Lindt stores around Australia, including the franchises in Southbank and Collins St have closed, with a message posted for customers.

“Due to emergency situations, our business in not operated today, until further notice.’’

UPDATE IV.

Sydney man Craig Stoker inadvertently confronted the gunman immediately prior to the siege:

“He was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing on it and a headband and carrying a blue bag.

“The bag bumped into me and there was something hard in it.

“I said ‘watch where you are f***ing going’.

“He turned round and said ‘do you want me to shoot you too?’ I looked into his eyes and they were crazy,” said Mr Stoker, a father of four from Eastlakes. “I was pretty freaked out.”

The bearded man was with two others who were similarly dressed.

It is not known if the other men are also inside the Lindt Café.

    I am just waiting for Perfectchild to appear and make some witty comments about my being close to the Nazis with my avocation of a comprehensive program of selective graduating to mass arrest and deportation of the Muslim…….

    Funny, how I have picked a line and walked it for over 7 years and how, day by day there are more and more supporters of M.A.I.D

    Anyway, I think many, sadly, many of these hostages will not make it out alive.

    Further, I am waiting for the same thing here in Canada, only 10 more days left to butcher some infidel shoppers…….

      This blog is to help everone understand the root of Islam, as I have tried to understand the essence of your “Mass Arrest Incarceration and Deportation” of Muslims.           Occasionally you have these moments where your bipolarity slips off the hook and you spend your days zooming around the stratosphere amusing us with the flatulence that you try to pass off as either witty reparte really really really deep philosphical illuminations……

          Then, somewhere between one or more of the various atmospheres, you get back on that pharmacuetical train you have ridden for decades and flow the windows whilst waving at the shrubbery, you begin to make sense once again……..

    “A leaked Labour document – which has been sent to some of the party’s MPs and activists – says they should avoid talking about immigration when they’re campaigning.

    It says the issue could be “unhelpful” and may risk losing votes.

    The leak comes as the Labour leader Ed Miliband prepares to set out plans to stop cheap foreign labour replacing British workers.

    Labour said lines from the document had been taken out of context.

    The leaked strategy document, revealed by the Daily Telegraph, was put out by Labour Party headquarters. In it, MPs were told not to send out leaflets about immigration to all voters because it could prove to be “unhelpful”.

    They were also instructed to “move the conversation on” to other topics if voters expressed concerns about border controls.

    The document, entitled ‘Campaigning Against Ukip’, says Labour campaigners should listen to the concerns of voters who were leaning towards Ukip.

    It claims that immigration was the issue “people most often cite” when explaining why they supported Nigel Farage’s party.

    But it adds: “It does not however follow that campaigning on immigration issues and emphasising our policies in our conversations with electors is always the correct response.”

    And it warns that Labour may lose votes the more “salient” immigration becomes as an election issue.

    A Labour spokesman called the newspaper’s story “nonsense” and added: “This is a 33-page document in which the Daily Telegraph is interested in taking only a few lines out of context.”………..”
