1. Gazanian muslims celebrate the murder of four Jewish people at prayer in a Synagogue last night by marching with axes and pistols.

2. Muslim groups seek to co-opt Ferguson protests, says watchdog group

fergusonprotestspic1.jpg

A watchdog group believes Muslim activists have an ulterior motive for their involvement in protests over the police shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown, left.

Muslim groups have stepped up efforts to co-opt protests over the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., with a drive to equate the teen’s death to the death of a radical Islamist shot during an FBI raid in 2009, a Washington-based security watchdog group is warning. […]

Walid claimed Brown was a Muslim, although when pressed, Walid denied he had made such a claim. Brown was buried in August after a memorial service at the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis.

3. The Gaza connection to terror in Jerusalem

Tuesday morning saw yet another dangerous new escalation after weeks of violence in Jerusalem with a synagogue attack that killed four people in the Har Nof neighborhood.

This was no case of “spontaneous terrorism,” as witnessed in recent car and knife attacks. In this case, the two terrorists, Uday Abu Jamal and Ghassan Abu Jamal, cousins from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, were apparently familiar with the synagogue where they staged their attack. They may have worked in the area; plainly, they gathered intelligence on it prior to the attack.

4. ISIS comes to Libya

(CNN) — The black flag of ISIS flies over government buildings. Police cars carry the group’s insignia. The local football stadium is used for public executions. A town in Syria or Iraq? No. A city on the coast of the Mediterranean, in Libya.

Fighters loyal to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria are now in complete control of the city of Derna, population of about 100,000, not far from the Egyptian border and just about 200 miles from the southern shores of the European Union.

The fighters are taking advantage of political chaos to rapidly expand their presence westwards along the coast, Libyan sources tell CNN.

5. For you sports fans out there, check out what the Islamic State does to sports fields in areas they control. Take note this is not in Iraq or Syria, this is in Libya, a new conquest for the Islamic State. WARNING: EXPLICIT VIOLENCE. An EXECUTION takes place here.

Thank you M., GoV., Richard, and all. Much more to come tonight. But first, I have to do the broadcast in 7 minutes! (8:30 ET)

  1. Far too short, excellent program, guys.

Troubling issues I hadn’t given much thought to before. Maybe we could tease them out blog-wise.

    • When you shake-up your audience – a different angle or three – you know you’ve done a really good job.

I’d like to listen again if it’s available.

    • The US drilling for and pumping oil is driving the price down and helping the worlds economy, this has been done over the howling objection of the Obama administration.

    • Thanks, I started posting them but then gave up.

They died with their tefillin on, total vulnerability.
They couldn’t be buried in their prayer shawls because they were soaked with blood.

  2. Kenya police seize weapons in fresh mosque raids

Kenyan security forces on Wednesday carried out fresh raids on a mosque in the port city of Mombasa searching for weapons and supporters of Somalia’s Shebab militants, police said.

Grenades, ammunition and petrol bombs were seized in the raid on the Swafaa mosque, the third to be searched since Monday in the tense city, officers said.

“We conducted a security operation,” local police chief Richard Ngatia said, adding that “weapons were seized” but that the operation was ongoing.

Dozens of people were arrested, adding to more than 250 arrested on Monday.

Security forces cordoned off streets around the mosque and soldiers patrolled the Kisuani district of the city, east Africa’s main port, an AFP reporter said.

“I want to make it clear that houses of worship cannot and shall not be taken over by criminals or used for criminal activities, including terrorism,” Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku said in a statement late Tuesday.

        • I doubt it’ll happen.

I want to — but I won’t — trash-talk Bibi. Others are doing it just fine. And it’s the job of journalists, advisors, and such. Certainly some heads must roll.

[IS, I’m NOT talking to you!]

But since it’s not my job, it constitutes lashon hora — literally “evil tongue”. It’s a monster sin. Too big to carry until the next Day of Atonement.
