This example was a clear case of a smelly, pajama-wearing Muslim goat-herder going on a rampage in a hospital.

The name does not fit. The robe looks like typical Mid-eastern affair worn in Pakistan, but they said it was a hospital gown.
I don’t believe that the news will tell us his religion.
He could have had a stroke and not have use of all his faculties. But how you act as you physically degrade I think may be related to you underlying disposition. I think he had a lot of pent up anger built up over the years to other “people”. He was certainly angry over his family drama. but i don’t believe being angry over that and medical issues explains it all.
With electronic they have a concept called graceful degradation.
If you apply it to people, then people with good disposition are not as likely to be nasty or attack others when they lose their faculties. Reagan was cheerful as Alzheimers took him. but if you are a nasty piece of work, you are more likely to fly off the handle.
