1. Canada used to have two rational newspapers. The Sun Chain and the National Post. In the last while, a few of us have noticed that one of the editors of the National Post, Jonathan Kay, seemed to have moved away from his usual highly rational positions on a number of subjects and towards a position we would expect from the Toronto Star or other left leaning newspapers. Today, Ezra Levant explains why. And it is extremely disappointing.

3. It is with great sadness that we are informed that one of the two soldiers run over by a muslim in yesterday’s attack in a suburb of Montreal has died from his injuries. There is not much more to say about that. My condolences to his family and friends and his compatriots and brothers in arms. I would also like to thank him for his service to our country and I hope deeply that he is given all the military honors that should be bestowed to any serviceman who dies in combat, as that is without a shred of doubt what did happen.

The flag looks similar to the one flown by jihadists – which reads “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God”.
But Shazia and her family are Shias unlike Islamic State who are made up of militant Sunni fighters.

Report: 3 missing Colo. teenage girls allegedly bound to fight extremists found in Germany
Authorities have tracked down three Colorado teenage girls in Germany who were allegedly bound for Syria to possibly fight with extremists, CNN reported Tuesday.
The girls are 15 and 16 years old and are believed to be of Somali or African descent.
The girls had radical beliefs and had intentions of going to Turkey and then Syria, where they wanted to link up with Islamic extremists and join the fight on the ground there.
But the fact Islamic extremists are finding a way to put out a message that is resonating with younger, more vulnerable populations, including Westerners, is reminiscent of another case in Colorado. Shannon Connolly, 19, recently pleaded guilty to trying to aid ISIS after she met somebody online.
Whether these cases have the Colorado connections is a coincidence or if there’s a bigger link is unknown.

ISIS Claims It Hit U.S. Embassy In Attack On Baghdad Green Zone
ISIS has reportedly struck the U.S. embassy in Baghdad in what could be the furthers incursion yet into Iraq’s capital.
On Tuesday the Islamist militant group took credit for a mortar attack against the embassy in Baghdad. The group bragged about the attack on social media, claiming that there were likely casualties.
“Four rockets strike Green Zone in #Baghdad; helicopters hovering over the Green Zone; ambulances heading that way after strikes!!” one ISIS militant noted on Twitter.
Others noted that the mortars fell short of the U.S. embassy, leaving no one killed or injured
Just one day before the alleged attack, retired Lt. Col. Oliver North claimed that sources in Iraq believed ISIS was planning a “major attack” against the embassy in Baghdad.
“They know Baghdad. They’ve lived in Baghdad,” North said of the militants reportedly planning the attack.
They are at the gates of Baghdad. They’re coming for us,” he added.
But North’s predictions were also tinged in political criticism, as he used the prediction as a way to attack President Obama and allege a conspiracy to let ISIS take over Iraq for his own benefit.
“I don’t think he gives a d**n,” North said. “I think he’s hoping that he can hold the lid on this until after this election so it won’t be just another disaster for this administration.”
ISIS has been increasing its attacks on Baghdad in recent weeks, including a wave of car bomb and mortar attacks on Sunday that left at least 150 people killed. Four car bombs exploded in Shia districts of Baghdad, leaving 36 people dead and 98 wounded in a span of two hours.
ISIS fighters have been encamped in suburbs surrounding Baghdad, and earlier this month sent four mortar shells into the Green Zone, the heavily protected location of the U.S. Embassy and other government buildings.
