Full presentation of Sister Hatune Dogan from Sept. 12 2014

This was an editing job fraught with tough decisions. The most difficult was whether or not to leave in the section where she shows her slides and videos that I know for a fact would get this video pulled down from Youtube under its current modus operandi. I do not know exactly why beheading and mutilation videos of jihadis manage to stay up on Youtube indefinitely while videos which show that they are doing this and why get pulled often very fast but I still do not think its a conspiracy by Google so much as islamic and leftist activism flagging videos with harsh content that make Islam look bad under certain contexts.

My answer then, was to leave that section of her presentation in because frankly, her description of the photos and videos are probably nearly as effective as seeing them. My suggestion is to put on headphones or speakers and sit back and listen without watching that section of the presentation. I think you will find what the sister has to say quite moving. However I am uploading all the photos she used for her presentation and at some point probably the videos as well. So you can click through the gallery as the presentation is being made and see what the live audience is seeing. Some of these pictures are harsh though and the warning for those that have PTSD not to look is real and not for dramatic effect.

  1. French national abducted in Algeria (BBC, Sept 22, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29319226

“A French man has been kidnapped in eastern Algeria, the French foreign ministry has confirmed.

The man was seized on Sunday in Tizi Ouzou in the restive north-east region of Kabylie, the ministry said.

It did not confirm the authenticity of a video posted on the internet purporting to show the man reading out a statement flanked by armed men.

In the video, the man calls on French President Francois Hollande not to intervene in Iraq.

Earlier, militants from the Islamic State (IS) group warned they would target France – and other countries – after it launched air strikes against them in Iraq.

The kidnapped man has not been officially named but the Algerian interior ministry described him as a 55-year-old mountain guide.

It said he and two Algerian companions had been driving through mountains near the village of Ait Ouabane when they were stopped by armed men. The gunmen let the Algerians go.

In the video, militants who say they are members of the Algerian group Jund al-Khilifa threaten to kill their hostage unless France ends its military operation in Iraq…”

Ed Miliband: Give me a decade to fix the UK (BBC, Sept 22, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-29310512

“Ed Miliband is to set out a 10-year plan to reverse the damage he claims has been done by the Conservatives. In his final party conference speech before the general election, the Labour leader will unveil a vision for building a “world-class” Britain.

The BBC understands he will also announce a spending boost for the NHS in England to be paid for by a tax on homes worth more than £2m. Labour is refusing to comment on “speculation” about the “mansion tax”.

Mr Miliband will argue that Prime Minister David Cameron – who claims to have a “long-term economic plan” for the country – has no answer to falling living standards, a faltering NHS and young people struggling to get on the property ladder…”

  3. Tony Abbott: ‘Security may come before some freedoms’ (BBC, Sept 22, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-29306392

“Australian PM Tony Abbott says certain freedoms may have to be forfeited in the name of security, after major anti-terror raids last week. His government would seek broad powers to fight the rising threat of militant Islamists, he told parliament.
New laws would criminalise travel to conflict areas declared off limits. Australian authorities believe at least 60 Australians are in the Middle East fighting with Islamic State (also known as Isil) and other militant groups. Mr Abbott gave the example of an off-limit area as the city of Raqqa in northern Syria. That is where a photograph was taken earlier this year and posted to social media of a young boy holding the severed head of a Syrian soldier. The boy is believed to be the son of an Australian jihadist…”

  4. Mufti Amanullah: Murdered cleric buried in Rawalpindi (BBC, Sept 22, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-29307392

“A hardline Sunni prayer leader has been buried in the city of Rawalpindi in Pakistan a day after he was shot dead.

Mufti Amanullah was a leader of the hardline group Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.

Some 4,000 Sunni activists, madrassa students and sympathisers attended the funeral before dispersing peacefully.

Mufti Amanullah was going to a seminary in the Raja Bazar area on Sunday when he was shot by at least four gunmen on two motorbikes. No group has said it carried out the attack.

At least one person was killed when violence erupted in the aftermath of the shooting.

Local police told the BBC that the man died when protesters, including students from the seminary, burned down a Shia mosque and some shops next to it.

Security was tightened across the city ahead of the funeral – but the BBC’s M Ilyas Khan in Rawalpindi says most markets had reopened by Monday afternoon.

Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) used to be known as Sipah-e-Sahaba, an extremist organisation whose goal was to convert Pakistan into a “pure” Sunni state and which was outlawed in 2002….”

  9. Buck I hear ya man. I heard this many times and it was a bridge too far for me as well. Except she has evidence for it. She insists this is taking place. I have avoided this story for some years and still never posted on it. But apparently its for real.

    • Well —
Greek Orthodox Christians cooked up the Original Blood Libel.
Then it grew legs and feelers and wings…
… and it just won’t die.

Sister heard from a man who knew someone and then someone else bottled it for $100,000 — can’t go retail with that provenance.

Sure doesn’t belong here, not with what she’s really seen, heard, photographed, filmed.

  10. U.S. airstrikes hit ISIS inside Syria for first time (CNN, Sept 22, 2014)
    http://edition.cnn.com/2014/09/22/world/meast/u-s-airstrikes-isis-syria/index.html

“U.S. jets began airstrikes in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria, early Tuesday, the first strikes against the terror group inside the country since President Barack Obama’s announcement this month that he was prepared to expand the American efforts beyond targets in Iraq, a U.S. official told CNN. The U.S. and “partner nation forces” began striking ISIS targets using fighters, bombers and Tomahawk missiles, Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said, though he didn’t specify a geographic location. Citing the ongoing operations, Kirby said the Pentagon would not provide additional details immediately…”
