Most people are appalled by sharia because of its draconian punishments. Personally I find that absolutely the least problematic aspect of it.
Earlier today I happened to have the chance to chat with a friend about the nature of sharia and I asked him honestly, “what is wrong with beheading and cutting off the hands of thieves?”
He was flabbergasted that I would even ask that and was stuck for an answer. I pointed out that in fact we incarcerate thieves and in the US we execute some people. While I do agree that amputations etc. are not an acceptable form of punishment thats actually a rather academic problem in terms of the sharia.
The real problems are:
The nature of the charges
The process used to determine guilt or innocence
The systems used for the implementation of force in the event of a guilty verdict.
In the sharia, anyone can make an accusation, especially against an unbeliever. Not only can they be accuser, but they can also be the police, the judge, the jury and the executioner. The process for evidence is hearsay and the punishment is often death at the hands of the accuser on the spot.
Religious muslims see absolutely nothing wrong with that. For example, in the ultimate victimless crime of blasphemy, a person can be killed on the spot and the killer will be celebrated by the community. Even if there are no witnesses. Even if in reality, a muslim man borrowed a lawn mower from a Christian who wanted it back and so the accusation of blasphemy was leveled. No one will ask questions. And no one will check his garage.
So how would that look in its initial stages in England? Would people use force against someone who blasphemed? Which way would a Muslim expect the police to act? To side with the person who used grotesque force against a blasphemer or to side with the person who was attacked?

I agree with Al Bhatti’s comment at the bottom of the page linked below that this thuggish response is less likely in the GCC countries, though I’m not sure it’s entirely for the reason he suggests, that people are scared of harsh punishment. It may have as much to do with Shariah being long-established in Gulf countries, and a preference for seeing the mockery of justice that is Islamic law pursued through the courts and its ‘legitimacy’ reaffirmed. On-the-spot justice could be more a feature of certain cultures as well as of transitional Shariah states like Britain, where the formal structures aren’t yet in place to have a proper Shariah trial.

memberbeing treated in UrfaURFA (D?HA) – The member of Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) gangs, Ammar Alo, was taken with an ambulance from Akçakale Border Gate to Akçakale State Hospital at the morning hours.
Gang member Ammar Alo was wounded during the clashes between ISIS gangs and forces of YPG (People’s Protection Units) and YPJ (Women’s Protection Units) in and around Kobanê Canton of Rojava. Following the first intervention, gang members Alo was taken to Urfa Mehmet Akif ?nan Education and Research Hospital under the protection of Turkish police.
While gang members was taken under treatment, police took extraordinary measures in and around the hospital. On the other hand, some other members of ISIS gangs were taken under treatment in special rooms in Urfa.

Well, the problem with cutting off a thief’s hands is, at least with my Judeo-Christian viewpoint, that this makes the possibility of restitution, which the Old Testament clearly states should be part of the punishment of a thief, impossible. Thus, putting someone to work to make restitution for the item stolen, perhaps in a penal environment, perhaps in a regular working atmosphere, would be impossible if their hands were cut off.
In addition, a person with no hands would be useless in society, and unless they were dispatched or exiled, would contribute to swelling the welfare roll on the public doll.
Much better to try and rehabilitate the person, and make them pay for their crime in a way that would benefit the victim and society as a whole.

Sharia law is evil incarnate but most people haven’t thought about why it is, in fact most people are content to ignore the problem until they are forced to live under Sharia. Both the laws and the punishments are in themselves evil although I support Capital punishment and really see nothing wrong with decapitation if it is done properly, say with a guillotine.
Sharia law encouraging stoning ,decapitation and limb removal should be opposed by the Kufr smearing Muslim morons with pig fat!????????
