Leftism and Islam: Wrecking civilizations for a very long time: Links 2 for Sept. 14 – 2014

1. Is the US sliding into a typical third world nation?

[…] Of those who did, though, nearly half got their money back, a statistic that fairly screams about the legitimacy of the seizures.

So does another fact: In many cases, authorities offer half the money back – money they’d claimed was proceeds of crime. And when they do issue a cheque, they almost always insist their victim sign a legal release promising never to sue.

2. Egypt security forces kill ‘most dangerous’ members of militant group

Egypt’s interior minister said on Sunday that a joint army and police offensive in Suez governorate resulted in the death of seven members of Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis militant group, Reuters’ Aswat Masriya reported.

Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said in a press conference that police were tipped off that the Sinai-based militant group took shelter in Suez’s Al-Galala Mountain, where they launched their attacks against security institutions and personnel.

Ibrahim added that following a heavy shootout between both sides, security forces ultimately managed to kill the seven members and later identified them via a DNA test.

3. British jihadist medical student, 21, is pictured holding severed head while wearing her white doctor’s jacket

  • Woman calling herself Mujahidah Bint Usama posted image on Twitter
  • Also wrote ‘dream job, a terrorist doc’ with smiley face and love hearts
  • Woman has also posted images of 9/11 attacks and mutilated soldiers
  • Has been linked to all-female al-Khanssaa brigade based in Raqqa, Syria

4. Video of jihadis firing missiles and various weapons at seemingly random targets in what may be Syria

5. Sydney in the firing line of Islamic State fanatics: Police escalate search for five rocket launchers

POLICE have significantly escalated their search for five rocket launchers believed to be buried in Sydney bushland by a terror cell linked to Islamic State savages Khaled Sharrouf and Mohamed Elomar.

NSW and federal police have ramped up their search for the lethal rocket launchers, following the government’s decision to raise the national terror alert level to “high” and ahead of the November G20 meeting in Brisbane.

(Video contains predictable banality and outright lies about what motivates the Islamic State)

Thank you Shabnam, M., Wrath of Khan and all. A great video about to be posted as well.

  1. We aren’t a third world nation yet but Obama and the Dems are trying to make us one, the laws that allow the seizures were passed by the left (in both parties) and the Judges who approved them were usually nominated by Dems. This policy is mainly pushed by the desire to force people to use Debit cards where Obama and his people can then access what is spend and on what, the big push towards this started under the Clintons (although most of the laws allowing it were passed earlier and then expanded on by activist Judges) but the full effort didn’t come until after Obama was in office and he expanded the authority and scope of the TSA.

    • Factoid: At present the majority of judges were appointed by Democrats.

I use cash wherever possible. Why make it too easy for Them?

      • Cash is still king, those with short memories forget that during natural emergencies, ice storms etc., when there are massive power outages, the ATM machines are out and we are cashless until it is restored. For five days after ‘Storm Sandy’ many merchants had signs in their windows stating ‘cash only’ .

      • I read that article also, scary thought we have put weasels to guarding our hen houses.

I know the original saying said Fox bit a weasel will kill every chicken in the chicken coop and drink their blood, a fox will kill one or two and eat them.

        • A Fox that gets into the Chicken coop will kill one or maybe two chickens then eat the best parts of them, a Weasel that gets in the Chicken coop (house) will kill all of them and lap up (drink) the blood of most of them. Many farmers think that weasels kill so many for the love of killing, I don’t know about that but they kill a lot more then they can eat or drink the blood of.

    • RE; # 1 The only thing I can state is that one either a Canadian or American is to read up on your rights and act accordingly during traffic stops. One does not have to consent to a search and should politely request a warrant be issued, it may not go well but we all have to stand up for our rights before they are gone. The police in some instances can always make up a BS charge I was advised by a lawyer to be polite ,limit my response and ask “am I being detained”, and “am I free to go”. As far as I know the State and local police in my home state of NJ are not participating in this skullduggery. Yes I detest the patriot act and all of the trampling on and denial of Constitutional rights that go with it. I cringe and am very uncomfortable when I go through the TSA airport checkpoints, but it’s the only way to go long distances. Sadly I feel more comfortable at airports in Eastern Europe where I was treated with dignity and respect, and my plane did not fall out of the sky.

  2. Despite many in power we will never be a cashless society, too many politicians are smart enough to realize that taking a bribe from a debit card will leave tracks that can get them in trouble. This is one time the crooked politicians will actually help the people.

    • How true many of our ‘esteemed’ members of the political class never hesitate to wined, dined, and most of all pocket lined.

      • That hurts us in some ways but keeps us from becoming a society were the government can track our every purchase.

      • Feisty little critters. Inhabit an especially nasty niche, meet adversaries with fierce resolve, and pay their war debts. That they emerge kinda twisted is part of their charm, I guess.

As observed from an armchair at a comfortable distance, thousands of miles away.

Though I’ve learned I may have a Finn marker in my DNA. For whatever that’s worth.
