Photos of the passports showed its exterior cover is black, based on the jihadist flag, with the inscription “State of the Islamic Caliphate” on the cover. The document likewise also had a statement that allegedly says, “If the holder of the passport is harmed we will deploy armies for his service.”

  1. Those who never learn from history are bound to make the same mistakes.

The ‘Islamic State’ appears to be a rise of something similar, but more sinister, than the Nazi’s in 30’s Germany. If western leaders do not comprehend this and do nothing now then we will be in for a long hard battle in the future. The strife will be felt in all western nations and particularly bloody in those with high Muslim immigrants.
Serious consideration should be given to banning Islam in the west while we still hold the balance of power.

    • Lots of luck finding Western politicians who are in power that see the danger and want to do something about it.

      • I’m sure that quite a few are fully aware of the dangers. Enoch Powell was astute enough in the sixties to tell all that would listen. In 1968 he said, during an interview,…”Each subsequent government will ignore the problem until such times as they can no longer ignore it”…..That time will surely be upon us very soon.

    • The Cypriot refugees are officially not refugees now. Their children, unlike the Palestinians, can not use the term refugee to describe their status.

Douglas Murray makes the extremely important point that the real reason for Muslim radicalization is the persecution complex that they have as a result of the big body of lies that people have been feeding over the last thirty years or more. That same type of concerted lie campagne will be responsible for further riots in Missouri tonight and further killings of Iraqis tomorrow.

The problem is that the mainstream media doesn’t know when to call a lie, a “lie”. They’re always trying to be seen as being so darn reasonable that they give weight to both sides of any story, regardless of the actual veracity of the claims. For instance, the Israeli Army really and truly does not go through Gaza looking for children to shoot, so the media should come right out and say that rather than leaving it open, as if Hamas might just be telling the truth, when they’re definitely not. And why does the media always report the Gaza Muslim “death toll” as absolute fact, when they know the information comes straight from Hamas? And why do they keep implying that George Zimmerman got away with murder in a white racist justice system, when the evidence so clearly indicates that Trayvon Martin was a violent criminal who got shot during an unprovoked attack on a Neighborhood Watch guy?

The list is long. We are living in a world of competing lies now, and that is pretty much the whole problem. Climate change, anyone…? Go investigate the Vostok ice-core samples and stand in wonder at the big, glittering pile of lies… If today’s media existed during World War II they would still be referring to the Germans as “alleged so-called militants”.

    • “Culivated culture of grievance” is a good way of putting it. Who’s doing the “cultivating”? Cui bono.

Helps us bury real threats. Like than California power station attack by professional snipers.

    • They are reporting on things that the other news groups ignore, the fact that they are left wing doesn’t mean you can’t use their reports.

      • I didn’t say nobody could use them. But I see these reports as the modern day equivalent of Goebbels’ nice little propaganda films about about the SS, even if it may be inadvertant on Vice’s behalf. Did you see the one about the sharia enforcers? Lovely and benign. Makes me almost want to move there…

    • I don’t either.
The one example where I know anything about the location & language was in Israel. They were asking soldiers just before the ground op: ‘when will it start’, ‘how far into Gaza will you go’, ‘what weapons do you carry’, etc. “Are you scared?”

Like Barbara Walters, “If you were an animal, what would you be?”

But they’re on the ground, so you can get a feel of the place. I’m thinking now on their reporting from Ukraine. The scenes are set-ups, granted, but they reveal more than a map would. Comparative distances, for example. Or who’s in uniform, what’s it look like.

And their travelogs are wildly entertaining.
