Islam. Attacking everything they they think they can win: Links post 4 for Aug. 12 – 2014

1. The battle starts at around 1:50

Google translation is: “liberation of the thermal station”.
(I think this is the taking of a power station in Syria if the giant posters of Assad are any indicator)

2. In this one, if you just listened, you might think it was Hari Krishnas after a night of scavenging near pot plants.

3. Bill Warner on the Cairo Declaration of ‘Human Rights’

4. TV Report Shows Islamic Jihad Missile-Launching Pads in Gaza Tunnels

5. Toronto’s ‘extremist’ Imam

  1. 5/ What does an imam have to do before a liberal sees treason in Canada? How they must laugh at Justin when he leaves the room.

  2. Here is a Mubin Shaikh tweet from Aug 11:

‘Eid dinner with @JustinTrudeau was a huge success. Open, unscripted discussions of employment, immigration, Israel the main issue.’

    From Aug 12:

‘Deprivation based grievance is THE leading cause of radicalization, even before ideology.’

Challenged on this by someone who points out that ‘research on suicide bombers shows a very middle class, generally educated profile,’ Mubin returns:

‘yes, these are individuals who have gone into violent extremism but its deprivation that starts that process to get there.’

The Caliphate Cop is still as full of it as ever.

    • It’s utter nonsense.
The audience is dozing; no one’s listening. They don’t have to. They know who’s endorsed Trudeau, and they’re satisfied that the shiny pony can be lead around by a ring through his nose. That’s all they need to know.

  3. 6/ Maybe better to reserve the word ‘psychotic’ for something the West recognizes as a psychiatric disorder, and not apply it to someone simply practicing Islam.

    • Islam is simple: submit or die; halal or haram. Serve an imaginary God.
Communism is simple: confess or die; live to work. Serve an imaginary People’s Party.

Paranoid Psychopaths in the first and narcissistic sociopaths in the second.
Whick kind are ensconced in your government?

      • Right, but I still think it makes a muddle applying Western psychological categories to non-Westerners. I was hired once to look after a Canadian man diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic. Dealing with him was different from dealing with Muslims. In the same way I’m not sure it’s helpful characterizing Al Baghdadi as Hannibal the Cannibal, however similar, looking from the outside in, some of his activities might be.

I suppose this is rooted in thinking that in the West, psychotics are born as much as made, whereas not so much predisposition seems necessary with Muslims, it can all be done with Islam.

      • This is a single example, I know. Perhaps there are high-functioning paranoid schizophrenics. But this fellow I knew was not one. He disconnected from reality into a highly private world of associations. He was apart from society, he was socially non-functional. Developing and sustaining meaningful friendships, holding down jobs, marriage, raising children, his illness precluded such things. He was not happy, he was not well, no talking cure seemed likely to change that. Anti-psychotic drugs apparently prevented some of the auditory hallucinations.

Not that Islam makes people well, but from what I have seen, Muslims live and die lives as happy as any in the context of Muslim societies, and they are busily, cheerfully transforming ours. They get well-paid jobs, have spouses and children, make lifelong friends, move with facility from one world, one social reality to another: family and friends, lies needful for business, taqiyya for the kuffar. It might be argued that they are living out the pattern of Mohammed’s madness without hearing the voice in their heads themselves, but I think that would risk glossing over something important, if I’m not putting my finger on it here.

      • Don C,

Not that Islam makes people well, but….
It might be argued that they are living out the pattern of Mohammed’s madness without hearing the voice in their heads themselves

        This is the point, precisely.

  4. The way to deal with Qatar is to privately to inform them along the lines ” You have a rich little statelet here emir. It would be a tragedy if something nasty happens to you”.

Which means that the West is going to stop protecting Qatar, and tell the world publicly that it doing so.

    • The US has a base right there, the centre of their ME operations. They could take Qatar over in nothing flat.
