Canadians object to being looted by their own police force

It would be interesting to see a definition of looting where what the RCMP did in Alberta did not fit perfectly. In fact, that the RMP used lists that it was specifically illegal for them to be in possession of in order to know what homes to break into and steal people’s property makes it worse than random looting. It makes it political and fascist.

  1. What a “pity” the Nazis and even commies did not officially designate their respective movements as faiths. (Although they almost certainly had plenty of faith in their nonsensical ideologies, policies, ect.)

Israel Targeting Mosques Hurts Gaza Social Fabric (abcnews, Aug 12, 2014)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/israel-targeting-mosques-hurts-gaza-social-fabric-24952598

“Only the minaret still stands after an Israeli airstrike reduced Gaza’s Al-Qassam Mosque to a heap of concrete, iron rods and dust. Hours after the pre-dawn attack, rescue workers searched in the rubble, residents gathered — and plainclothes Hamas security agents mingled among them.

Also known as the Grand Mosque, it was one of 63 that Israel has destroyed in its monthlong war with Hamas, according to Palestinian officials. The reason, Israel says, is that Hamas is using mosques to stockpile weapons and rocket launchers, and to hide tunnels used to infiltrate into Israel and carry out attacks.

Gaza’s Hamas rulers deny the accusation, saying Israel is waging a war against Islam. On the ground, many Gazans react the same, saying Israel is attacking their faith….”

    http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/1571573/new-eye-terror-spotting-stressed-faces-crowd

“Chinese scientists are developing a mini-camera to scan crowds for highly stressed individuals, offering law-enforcement officers a potential tool to spot would-be suicide bombers.

But the technology has raised concerns over its implications for individual privacy and potential abuse by government agencies.

Stress has a range of effects on the body. It can register as changes in heart rate, facial expression and body temperature, which scientists can already monitor from a distance. But the readings are not always reliable. For example, with enough practice, a person can learn to control their heartbeat.

That’s why Chen Tong , an associate professor of electronic information engineering at Southwest University in Chongqing looked at another indicator – the level of blood oxygenation. Using hyperspectral imaging, which examines information across the electromagnetic spectrum, Chen and his research team have developed a “stress sensor” that measures the amount of oxygen in blood across exposed areas of a body, such as the face. “The higher the mental stress, the higher the blood oxygenation,” he said.

Chen’s research comes amid heightened fears over security on the mainland after a series of deadly attacks in public places. According to the authorities, the assailants ranged from knife-wielding religious extremists going on rampages in train stations to distraught citizens setting fire to crowded buses…”

Full economic recovery ‘will not solve youth unemployment’ (BBC, Aug 12, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/business-28765465

“The think tank the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) says a full-blown economic recovery will not fix the UK’s youth unemployment problem. Its latest report says despite steady falls in unemployment, there are still 868,000 out of work 16 to 24-year-olds.

Later this morning the latest official UK unemployment figures will be revealed. They have been falling steadily for the last year. The IPPR highlights a striking mismatch between what young people are training for and the types of jobs available.

For example, it says, 94,000 people were trained in beauty and hair for just 18,000 jobs, while only 123,000 were trained in the construction and engineering sectors for an advertised 275,000 jobs.

The IPPR says youth unemployment is lower in countries where the vocational route into employment through formal education and training is as clear as the academic route. It says this helps as it puts the two on a higher perceived footing.

Although the youth unemployment rate has fallen sharply from 20.9% a year ago to 17.8%, the IPPR says there are still 868,000 young people aged 16 to 24 unemployed and 247,000 of them have been looking for work for over a year.

Around 700,000 young people have never had a job…”

Africa’s young to swell to 1bn by 2050, says Unicef (BBC, Aug 12, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28757054

“Africa’s under-18 population will swell by two-thirds to reach almost a billion by 2050, a new UN report says.

The findings show a “massive shift in the world’s child population towards Africa”, it says.

Its projections indicate that by 2050, about 40% of all children will be in Africa, up from around 10% in 1950.

This is despite the fact that child mortality rates in Africa will remain high, it says.

The continent currently accounts for about half of child mortality globally and the proportion could rise to around 70% per cent by 2050, according to the Generation 2030/Africa Report released by Unicef, the UN’s child agency.
    ‘Seismic demographic shifts’

However, high fertility rates and rising numbers of women of reproductive age mean that over the next 35 years, almost two billion babies will be born in Africa and the continent’s population will double in size, the report says.

“The seismic demographic shifts that Africa’s child population will experience are among the most important questions facing the continent, and indeed vital issues for the world,” it adds.

Special attention should be given to Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, as it already has the greatest number of births on the continent and will account for almost one in 10 births globally by 2050, the report says.

“This report must be a catalyst for global, regional and national dialogue on Africa’s children,” said Leila Gharagozloo-Pakkala, Unicef’s regional director for eastern and southern Africa.

“By investing in children now – in their health, education and protection – Africa could realise the economic benefits experienced previously in other regions and countries that have undergone similar demographic shifts,” she said.”

The US has been carrying out air strikes against fighters from militant group Islamic State (IS). IS fighters have forced tens of thousands to flee their homes.

“This is not a combat boots on the ground kind of operation,” Mr Hagel said, in remarks made at Camp Pendleton in California….”

  6. Hello there…..its me again…….Don Laird…

I wrote and essay about the RCMP and their treachery, their zeal, their murderous excesses, their arrogance, their service to self and their incompetence. It is called

    Of Mounties and Murder.

You can find it online on an few blogs.

I will repost it below in its entirety. Its unflattering but very very true.

Since I wrote this essay the excesses of the RCMP resulting in death, injury and loss of the very citizens they are charged with protecting have ramped up exponentially. Now, in many cases, it is reasonable to assume that you are in greater danger by actually calling the RCMP for assistance than you are to suffer the vagaries of criminals on your own.

For many years, almost two decades, the RCMP have, diligently and enthusiastically, been acting as a murderous, lawless, hostile, offensive, aggressive and unaccountable force that moves among the Canadian citizenry with impunity committing a laundry list of crimes against those same citizens. FACT.

Gun control is an example. There always have been calls for our guns and the RCMP, after the Canadian gun registry program was ordered dismantled, have been extremely active in opposing direct government orders to destroy their gun registry data bases. In fact the RCMP have defied direct orders from the Prime Minister of Canada to destroy gun registry data. In short, in opposition to Parliament, the RCMP have openly defied the PMO and the majority of Canadians. FACT.

Strange now, that we are called to “work with us” by a law enforcement agency that does everything in its power to work against the Canadian public.

The RCMP, further acting as a “self appointed” legislative” body has been quietly adding dozens and dozens of rifles to their “banned and restricted” lists and all without the approval of, and in complete defiance of, our elected officials in Ottawa. FACT.

In fact the RCMP have been virtually a law unto themselves committing unlawful entries into residences without authority or warrants. In High River, Alberta, while residents were away on a flood-alert evacuation notice, the RCMP, ever the opportunists, kicked in the doors of dozens of houses and ransacked them looking for “guns” and all without warrants, all without permission and all illegally. This was of course when they weren’t (aren’t) committing a host of other crimes. FACT.

Lets not forget about the RCMP and their cozy deferential relationship with violent Muslim jihadists here in Canada.

The RCMP, for all their efforts, for all their alleged diligence, for all their alleged professionalism, have produced little in the way of results in the fight against the jihadists in Canada other than a few token arrests of low-level Muslim stumble-bums. FACT.

The fact is that under the watch of the RCMP, rather, the incompetent bumbling watch of the RCMP, many areas of Canada have become fertile ground for the cultivation and production of jihadists and self-detonating Muslims. The last one the politically correct RCMP clown show “missed” came from Calgary, one Salman Ashrafi, a jihadist that murdered over 40 people.

It is a matter of Public Record that the RCMP have committed a virtual laundry list of crimes that range from murder, manslaughter, theft of evidence, pedophilia, trafficking narcotics, assault, terrorizing their own family members with their service weapons, tampering with witnesses, robbery, fraud, drunk driving and the list goes on and on and on and on. And, sadly, there does not seem to be any end in sight to their criminality.

    Doubt what I am saying?

    Google these RCMP names;

RCMP Cpl Jim Brown, Abbotsford, BC…….(look under Google images for this sicko’s stuff, this RCMP officer’s sexual deviance was well known to his RCMP supervisors who actually approved of it and did nothing. RCMP Cpl Jim Brown, directly connected to the Robert Picton case, likes to partially dress in his RCMP uniform, wrap young girls/women in Saran wrap, bind and gag them, cut them lightly with a knife and then subject them to a sickening course of humiliation and degradation and then post all of that to the internet. And his superiors do nothing. Repeat, nothing)

RCMP Sgt Don Ray, Alberta, (pulls down his pants and asks his female coworkers to play with his Johnson, amongst other things)

RCMP Const Geoff Mantler, Kelowna, BC (likes to brutalize and kick fully compliant arrestees in the teeth)

RCMP Cpl Benjamin “Monty” Robinson, BC (likes to supervise the murder of Polish tourists and then kill pedestrians with his car while drinking)

Robert Dzieka?ski, Polish tourist murdered by RCMP at Vancouver BC airport.

Less than a year ago, Robert Dzieka?ski’s death was determined to be a homicide (fancy word for murder) by the BC Coroner’s office yet the officers responsible for the killing of Robert are still on duty. Please think about that for a minute; 3 RCMP officers committed murder and are still on duty.

Further, the Crown Prosecutor in trying the charges of perjury against all the murdering RCMP officers involved in the Dzieka?ski case has been given no support by the senior RCMP commanders, none whatsoever. In fact, the RCMP has done everything possible to protect these murdering RCMP officers, and I do mean everything.

    But that’s not all.

In fact, after the killing of Dzieka?ski, one of the killers, RCMP Cpl Robinson, killed another man that he ran over while he was driving drunk. The judge in that case gave RCMP Cpl Robinson a fine, and this for vehicular manslaughter. How nice. How’s that for a boost of confidence for the Canadian taxpayer.

    Copy and paste this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dzieka%C5%84ski_Taser_incident

In fact, as we speak, the RCMP murdered another man with a taser in BC just yesterday, (June 5/2014) but again, we don’t see RCMP spokesmen like Const Darien Theriault with quivering lips, waving voices and misty eyes speaking about that death do we? No, what we do see is the RCMP engaging in their S.O.P of “closed lips” due to “matters under investigation”

Sadly, the RCMP do not have a great many friends in Canada, not after the manner in which they have conducted themselves over the past 15 years.

As then Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day said, “The RCMP is horribly broken”. Truer words were never spoken.

The fact is that many, many Canadians do not view the RCMP as “friends” and “good cops” and while Canadians do not wish the RCMP harm a growing number view them as thuggish persons to avoid.

    MY ESSAY BELOW…………………..

    OF MOUNTIES AND MURDER

    Dear Prime Minister Harper,

The RCMP fatalities inquiry into the deaths of four RCMP officers at Mayerthorpe, Alberta draws to a close. Provincial court Justice Pahl retires to his deliberations. This, the penultimate chapter of this tragedy, now written. It was the writing of this chapter that gave us a glimpse of those whose service to self and concern for career trumps truth and reality.

How remarkable that now, as errant children, the RCMP seeks to blame everyone else save themselves. This is not surprising as in the last decade we have watched as this once proud police force with an international reputation for excellence, professionalism and the dogged pursuit of justice has deteriorated into a corrupt, self serving, incompetent, murderous and duplicitous national joke.

Senior RCMP officers were in fine form throughout the hearing refining the manipulation of fact, sleight of hand and buck passing to an art form. RCMP deputy commissioner Rod Knecht was no exception and in top shape speaking to the “high level of training” the dead officers had received. Unfortunately, and largely ignored by the press, are volumes truthfully spoken to the utter lack of training of these officers, volumes of truth wrought from their deaths. This truth, amongst other realities, left Knecht untroubled. Witnesses were excluded, facts manipulated and melodrama was a subtle yet palpable undercurrent. The inquiry adjourned, the doors to the courthouse opened, and Knecht, career intact, dabbing crocodile tears, comforting widows and mothers, met the press. We, the Public, were taken to task.

How remarkable that, with shrill voices and self righteous indignation, we are now tongue lashed by the relatives of the dead officers for not “developing” better relationships with the RCMP. These little jewels of chastisement fall from the lips of the dead officers parents in the face of the brutal execution of Robert Dziekanski in the Vancouver Airport. Four RCMP officers, in a killing that speaks more of the handiwork of the Mexican Los Zetas’ than the competent enforcement of law, tazered to death an innocent Polish tourist. A detail not to be missed was Dziekanskis’ weapon of choice……wait for it…….a stapler!!!! The scene, caught on video tape, was not one to uplift public confidence, no public relations bridge builder that, but rather one of Neanderthal thugs gathered around a man and, with great enthusiasm, murdering him. Subsequent to that little RCMP display of “Maintien Le Droit” one of the officers who participated in that killing, Const. Benjamin Robinson, couldn’t restrain himself from drunken revelry and killed an innocent man in a drunk driving accident.

A Kelowna, BC man is on his knees in a position of surrender being covered by a female RCMP officer. Buddy Tavares’ reward for obeying the commands of the RCMP was to be bum rushed and brutally kicked in the face by RCMP Officer Geoff Mantler.(evidently not Mantlers first brush with police brutality) Now that’s a real confidence builder isn’t it Const. Mantler? (Bet that was cause for a big tee-hee down at the detachment wasn’t it?)

Darren Varley, while drunken and combative, was executed in the cells of the Pincher Creek RCMP detachment by Officer Ferguson. This of course, was a result of the same incompetence and buffoonery so richly displayed in Mayerthorpe. Exactly what was Const. Ferguson doing in cells with a weapon, a firearm? That little faux pas was a fly in the ointment the size of an albatross for Ferguson’s legal defence team to work around and once again, colour me surprised, a complete departure from RCMP dictates, training and procedure.

Further to the north, in an act of physical contortion that would draw the jealous eye of even the most seasoned Cirque De Soleil acrobat, Const Koester managed to shoot Ian Bush in the back of the head…..even though Const. Koester, nearing unconsciousness as he testified, was being strangled from behind. I know, I know…………just think about that one for a few minutes.

Of course the subsequent investigation into the killing of Ian Bush boggled the minds of the residents of Houston, BC, nay, boggled the minds of the entire country. Evidence of that as experts, testifying at the hearing into the murder of Ian Bush, routinely contradicted each other in an atmosphere worthy of a Kangaroo Court. A departing thought; one minute a young man is complying with the instructions of RCMP officers and quietly riding to the detachment in the custody of the RCMP, the next minute that same young man is dead. A death Ian Bush suffered at the hands of his custodians, the RCMP. (Bet that was a real knee-slapper around the detachment water cooler ‘eh boys?)

But let’s not stop with murder, why the activities of the RCMP are nothing less than a veritable carnival of corruption and incompetence. How about the allegations of pedophilia and child molestation against an RCMP officer that went uninvestigated? Then there was the outright fraud committed by senior RCMP commissioners including RCMP commissioner Giuliano Zaccardelli. In fact, retired RCMP Staff Sgt Ron Lewis testified that his investigation into the fraud was met with “obstruction, lies, inaction, delays and roadblocks created by commissioner Zaccardelli. This was when Zaccardelli wasn’t too busy spending over 80,000 dollars of the taxpayers’ money on office renovations.

Recently, the Canadian government was forced to take the extraordinary step of placing a civilian in charge of the RCMP in order to correct the lethal and criminal systemic defects that were utterly beyond the ability of senior RCMP commanders to identify and address let alone resolve. On July 17, 2007, Commissioner William Elliot, the first civilian head of the RCMP, was appointed to do what the senior RCMP echelons either wouldn’t or couldn’t do; provide leadership and competent professional stewardship of a national police force.

It was to be expected that Commissioner Elliot would have an uphill battle on his hands as simply the act of appointing outside help to assist the RCMP with the very basics of police force leadership and management was a damning indictment and bound to bruise some fragile egos. Expectations were spot on and for the past three years we have borne witness to the gnashing of teeth and juvenile whimpering from top RCMP commanders as they complained vigorously about the manner in which they were taken to task for their shortcomings. This raises the question; exactly how does one give a politically correct, ego massaging, sugar coating to phrases and words like, dereliction of duty, professional misconduct, incompetence, lethality, criminal complicity, perjury, and murderous zeal? Exactly how do we put a spin on language that accurately describes the actions of the RCMP so as not to bruise the delicate sensibilities of the senior RCMP bureaucracy?

The whining of the senior RCMP commanders reached a public forum on February 08, 2011. The insipid and vacuous testimony of deputy commissioner Raf Souccar, as he testified before the Public Safety Committee in Ottawa, was little more than one long tedious adult version of a child drumming his heels on the kitchen floor because Mummy told him he would have to clean his room. This said, there are very few children who would sink to the depths of outrageous hypocrisy as commissioner Raf Souccar did during the hearing. It seems the delicate sensibilities of Raf Souccar were rattled when he had his nose rubbed in the doo-doo of his own stupidity and incompetence. Souccar wheedled at the hearing claiming that his brutal treatment and public humiliation at the hands of Commissioner Elliot “eroded the RCMP’s core values of respect and compassion”.

I know…….I know…..here we go again……and I know exactly what you’re thinking…..where in the name of Christ were the RCMP’s core values during the murder of Varley, Bush and Dziekanski? Seems that words like respect, compassion, integrity, honesty, professionalism are nothing more than punch lines. Simply fancy dress-up words, literal mechanisms of leverage used in a political poker game played by life long RCMP bureaucrats whose service to self has become an art form. Quite frankly, the hearing was an embarrassment to watch.

The criminality of the RCMP knows no bounds. From witness tampering, destruction of evidence, fraud, drunken driving, child molestation, criminal negligence, criminal negligence causing death, perjury, obstruction of justice, underage prostitute solicitation, impaired driving, assault, manslaughter, murder, the list goes on. In light of this it is no wonder that in an investigation into the deaths of four RCMP officers the senior RCMP commanders would do everything in order to twist the entire matter into one utterly predictable, obscene, self serving and exculpatory charade.

How remarkable that we, the Public, are somehow, in a mind numbing twist of logic, to blame for not developing warm and cozy relationships with law enforcement officers whose daily conduct evokes images of jack booted thugs whose handiwork, between bites of bratwurst and gulps of lager, lent support to a spirited Germanic orator. The same orator who, after the eradication of the rights of Germany’s citizens, dabbled in genocide and world war. Exactly how much whisky must one consume to arrive at that conclusion? I have only two words to describe that rationale and logic; utterly laughable.

We are taken to task and given direction by the remaining family of the dead officers. We are lectured, nay, instructed, from the bully pulpit of self righteous grieving relative, to develop relationships with the RCMP and call them when we have information. I strongly disagree with this assertion. Why would a Public, justifiably fearful and wary of its police force, extend a hand of trust and cooperation when that hand has been repeatedly bitten and slapped away? Why would we entrust our children to the protection of a police force that has brutally murdered the same and then lied about that murder? Why would we ignore and turn a blind eye to the outrageous and injurious actions of those men and women whose sworn duty it is to uphold the law and protect the citizens of this country? And, as so brilliantly illustrated in Mayerthorpe, why in the name of Christ would we seek the assistance and protection of those who can’t even protect themselves? Common sense and decency dictate it is not we the Public who have bridges to build and hands to extend.

Denizens of California and Canada’s West Coast, bleary eyed and slightly addled, smelling vaguely of incense and herb tea, would, between verses of Joan Baez’s “Kumbaya My Lord”, sing the praises of marijuana grow-ops. They would tell you that marijuana grow-ops are places of pure cosmic energy, good karma and peaceful spirituality. They would tell you grow-ops are places to polish your chakra, mend your aura and mind-meld with multi-colored fairies of the forest. However, that drug induced notion is vastly different from reality.

Marijuana grow-ops are the currency of organized crime. They are the currency of South American and Mexican drug cartels. They are the jealously guarded generators of revenue for criminals and low-lives across North and South America. In guarding these little gold mines the owners use everything from IED’s (improvised explosive devices) to man-traps. The owners will, at the drop of a hat, resort to murder, terrorism, kidnapping and extortion to protect their investment. Law enforcement is well versed in the violent and murderous nature of marijuana grow-op caretakers. Pits in Mexico have been found filled with the bodies of those who “knew too much” about a grow-op. Some hikers in California and around the US and Canada who were unfortunate enough stumble into a grow-op have been known to “disappear” or show up months later, their rotting remains in a shallow grave. Marijuana grow-ops are very dangerous places.

James Roszko was no different from many of his criminal counterparts; he was a very dangerous man. Roszko had a reputation, cultivated over decades, that preceded him by light years. It was a reputation that the RCMP were intimately familiar with. Roszko was known for forcible confinement, breaking and entering, sexual sadism, stalking, uttering threats, petty larceny, vehicle theft and drug dealing. So, when the four RCMP officers stumbled upon Roszko’s Mayerthorpe grow-op, knowing the nature of grow-ops and their owners and knowing Roszko’s reputation for criminality and violence, did they really expect him to arrive in a hippie love bus, draped in beads and packing hollow-point granola bars? It wasn’t the Public who were guilty of a gross miscalculation, it wasn’t the judiciary who were guilty of a gross miscalculation, it wasn’t the media who were guilty of a gross miscalculation; it was the RCMP officers. They were wrong, dead wrong.

As for the four RCMP officers on Roszko’s farm; they paid for their stupidity, for their failure to follow procedure, for their failure to remain in a tactical stance in a dangerous, still fluid, still unfolding situation, with their lives. Conducting themselves with all the caution and tactics of drunken cowboys on Roszko’s farm that day, they set the game in motion and it was one stacked against them. They did not deserve to die but they got what they themselves and their superiors had paved the way for.

Those who remain behind need someone to blame. They need to blame something or someone with a pulse for to blame a faceless system and a self serving corrupt law enforcement bureaucracy is not enough. While the loss of life is tragic, it is not the fault of the community, it is not the fault of the judicial system, it is not the fault of a pair of town dullards. The fault rests squarely on the dead officer’s shoulders, on the head of a homicidal lunatic and at the doorstep of the senior echelons of the RCMP.

In closing, truer words were never spoken, “the RCMP is horribly broken”. The RCMP is a shadow of its former self. The days of Sam Steele are long since gone and were Superintendent Steele alive today he would turn away in disgust at the malignant farce his beloved police force has become ‘neath the stewardship of Knecht, Souccar, Zaccardelli and others.

As our national police force (RCMP) your reputation for criminality, murder, zeal, incompetence, corruption and stupidity is well deserved; it is a reputation you have unceasingly and diligently cultivated for over 2 decades. You are an international disgrace to Canada and a national embarrassment to Canadians. You, as we are, should be ashamed of yourselves.

    Sincerely, Don Laird

  7. Canada to donate Ebola vaccine to WHO (BBC, Aug 13, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28767695

“Canada says it will donate up to 1,000 doses of an experimental Ebola vaccine to help battle the disease’s outbreak in West Africa. It comes after the World Health Organization said it was ethical to use untested drugs on Ebola patients.

However, experts say supplies of both the vaccine, and experimental drug Zmapp, are limited and it could take months to develop more supplies.

More than 1,000 people have been killed by the current outbreak. Canada says between 800 and 1,000 doses of the vaccine, which has only been tested on animals, will be donated to the World Health Organization (WHO) for use in West Africa.

However, it will keep a small portion of the vaccine for research, and in case it is needed in Canada…”

“… Amnesty International notes that, especially in recent years, the vast majority of civilian deaths in Afghanistan have been the result of attacks by the Taliban and other parties in conflict. Such groups have failed to take basic precautions to avoid harming civilians, have employed civilians as human shields, and in some instances have directly targeted civilians in violation of the laws of war. In 2013, according to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), *insurgents were responsible for more than three quarters of civilian deaths*, while international forces were responsible for just 5 percent of them. While this is not the focus of the current report, Amnesty International continues to condemn all attacks on civilians and deplores the increase by Taliban and other armed opposition groups…”
