Geopolitics of Islam and the blood on its borders: Links post 1 for Aug. 1 – 2014

1. The people’s cube have a run at Obama’s Islamic obsequiousness with this article. Interestingly, the joke here is too close to the facts to be truly funny and also interestingly, G.K. Chesterton wrote a book in 1914, fully 100 years ago, which uses the same literary device to show how Islam takes over the UK in a distopian future.

The People’s Cube is always good and the comments are excellent. But I do like one response to the initial article at Brietbart: “I don’t know about creating the fabric of our nation but they did do a lot to change New York’s Skyline”. –DP111

2. Exposed: The Self-Inflicted Hamas ‘Massacre’ Blamed By the Media on Israel

According to the Hamas version of events – widely promulgated in the media by ITN, the Telegraph and the Belfast Telegraph – an Israeli airstrike on a crowded market place during a partial ceasefire in the Shijaiyah neighbourhood of Gaza City on July 30th, 2014 was responsible for the deaths of 17  people, including blue-helmeted photojournalist Rani Rayan.

However as Thomas Wictor has incontrovertibly demonstrated using close analysis of film footage of the incident, the deaths were not caused by Israeli shrapnel but by secondary explosions from a vast cache of Hamas rockets.

3. Hamas kidnaps an Israeli soldier just 90 minutes into the ceasefire.

(I get that Hamas has never read the boy that cried wolf, so they don’t know perhaps what a bad idea it is to trash your credibility with constant lies. But Israelis have read it. So what is their excuse for falling for it more than once?)

4. Police in Rinkeby Sweden, lured into muslim area and attacked by hundreds throwing stones:

(Translation by N. Sennels)

(Stockholm’s suburb of Rinkeby)

“Tonight the immigrant population in Stockholm’s suburb of Rinkeby was awoken by riots. Around 200 people took part in throwing stones at the police, cars were set on fire and shots were fired.

Police received the first alarm shortly before 11pm on Wednesday night. A car had been set on fire. When police arrived to the area they were met by stone-throwers, prompting them to retreat and wait for reinforcements in order to go back into the war-like zone again. The police do not know what caused the unrest.

‘- The common thread has been that car drivers refuse to stop when ordered to by police. Once they stop, people gather round the cars and attack the police.

‘- The police have been forced to retreat and call for reinforcements. When they got back the crowd prepared themselves with stones and went on the attack again,’ says Peter Hered.

According to DN, one police officer was injured when a large rock was thrown through the window of a police car. He was, however, only slightly injured. During the night, a helicopter was depoloyed. One person was arrested, but several hundred are suspected.”

5. USA: Republicans block Iron Dome aid money to Israel

(Personally, in some ways it appears to me that US aid to Israel actually handcuffs them, and Iron Dome, while amazing technically, is not as good as a strong offense. This could work out well for Israel, if they have to destroy the capability to attack them rather than pick off a few missiles)

6. A mosque in Sweden was set on fire due to a dispute between two muslim groups.

“”During the early hours of Friday, a not yet completed mosque in Hageby in Norrköping were set on fire ….

Later that same day it emerged that the it was due to a conflict between different religious groups. According to the newspaper NT, the conflict consists of young criminals in the area with different Islamic beliefs. The conflict has intensified recently.

‘- This is just the beginning! More will burn – believe me,’ says a young man who wishes to remain anonymous. He says he knows who set fire to the mosque …

‘- They go too far when they burn down a sacred building, this will result in revenge attacks,’, the young man says.”

7. A number of people have sent in links on how many Arab leaders are lining up with Israel and opposing Hamas. This actually shouldn’t be any surprise given that the Muslim Brotherhood has shown itself to be a very real danger to Arab leadership, frankly all leadership world-wide, and Israel is the best bet at diminishing their various front groups such as Hamas, without appearing to be going against muslims directly themselves. Still, it is somewhat of a surprise whenever anything in the Islamic world tilts towards reality and away from Islamic ‘Uber Alles’

New York Times:

and also:

Thank you Buck, Nicolai Sennels, Maria J., ML, DP111, Snaphanen.Dk and all who sent in material today so far.

I have not even got to a 1/4 of it and that doesn’t include many of my sources and there are a few projects I am working on as well, some of which I hope to be able to publish today.

For those of you that surf around on this subject and watch a lot of riot videos and Islamic propaganda, I seem to notice a shift in the narrative. One which I think is both very interesting and coincides perfectly with Stephen Coughlin’s Timelines brief in terms of overall escalation strategy to create the Caliphate and impose Islamic norms on the rest of the world. I would be interested in the opinions of all of you in terms of noting this shift and what defines it. More on that later.

  1. I await the Saudi News or some other Muslim organ to report the People’s Cube goof as genuine.

  2. Luton Muslim mother-of-six facing jail for encouraging terrorism in Syria.

A Muslim mother has been told to expect a ‘substantial’ prison sentence after encouraging terrorism in Syria over social media.
Runa Khan, 34, admitted posting a message on Facebook in September, saying: ‘Sisters, if you love your sons, husbands and brothers, prove it by sending them to fight for Allah.’
Khan, a mother-of-six, also posted a a picture of a suicide vest on the site, alongside a message which read ‘sacrifice your life to be in Islam’ in July last year.

  5. ‘Nine militants killed’ in violence in China’s Xinjiang (BBC, Aug 1, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-28611279

“Nine militants have been shot dead by police and one captured in the restive Chinese region of Xinjiang, the Xinhua news agency has reported.

It quoted officials as saying that the violence took place in the south of the autonomous region as police were chasing “a terrorist group”.

Xinjiang, in China’s far west, is home to the Muslim Uighur minority.

Uighurs have been unhappy for years over large-scale Han Chinese migration and tight Chinese control of Xinjiang.

In recent months, however, there has been a marked increase in violence in the region, including the killing of a pro-government imam from the country’s largest mosque in Kashgar on Wednesday.

State media earlier on Friday said that police had shot dead two suspects and captured another….”

  7. FAA Restricts Flights Over Iraq Amid Missile Fear (nbcnews, Aug 1, 2014)
    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/faa-restricts-flights-over-iraq-amid-missile-fear-n170176

“The Federal Aviation Administration is restricting U.S. airlines from flying at or below 30,000 feet over Iraq because of what it calls “the potentially hazardous situation created by the armed conflict” there.

The agency already had restricted flights in Iraqi air space to a 20,000-foot minimum.

The order issued Thursday night follows the downing two weeks ago of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 by a missile as it flew over rebel-held territory in eastern Ukraine.

Iraq also has been in turmoil as militants have fought government forces. Amid fears that militants had weapons capable of shooting down planes, several European carriers already have developed alternate flights plans for Iraq. The FAA also is prohibiting U.S. carriers from flying in and out of two Iraqi airports, Erbil International and Sulaymaniyah International.”

  8. Tunisia Closes Borders With Libya After Violence (abcnews, Aug 1, 2014)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/tunisia-closes-borders-libya-violence-24809513

“Tunisia closed its main border crossing with Libya on Friday after thousands of stranded Egyptian and foreign nationals, fleeing militias’ fighting and violence in Libya, tried to break through the passage, the Tunisian news agency said.

It was the second eruption of unrest at the border in as many days, as thousands of Libyans stream into neighboring Tunisia, along with foreign nationals. Tunisia is the only escape route as fighting escalates in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, where rival militias have been battling for weeks for control over the airport.

Friday’s unrest took place when thousands of Egyptians, barred from entering Tunisia because they had no visa, held a protest then broke through part of a fence at the Ras Ajdir crossing, Tunisian security officials said. The police responded by shooting in the air and firing tear gas. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press.

An Associated Press reporter at the crossing said no one managed to make it to the other side and security forces used vehicles to physically block access. After a Tunisian police officer was wounded by gunfire from the Libyan side of the border, authorities closed the crossing, the official Tunisian news agency TAP said.

A day earlier, two Egyptians were killed during a similar protest demanding to be let through. Tunisian officials say thousands of Libyans have been crossing the border each day the past week.

Libya is witnessing its worst factional violence since the downfall of the longtime dictator….”

  10. #5 The DEMS stuck the aid to Israel onto the funding for Obama’s open border campaign, they thought it would make the Repubs vote for the bill and allow Obama to increase the number of illegal immigrants in the US, or should I say the number of new Obama voters.
