1. UK: Anger as Islamic charity with Bradford base has its bank account shut down

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Shoyeb Mayat from the Ummah Welfare Trust which has had the account closed by HSBC Shoyeb Mayat from the Ummah Welfare Trust which has had the account closed by HSBC

AN Islamic charity with a base in Bradford has been told that its bank account is being shut down, although it has yet to be told why.

Now Bradford West MP George Galloway says he will “demand” to know the reason that HSBC has decided to shut the account of the Ummah Welfare Trust.

The registered charity, which has an office on Manningham Lane, believes HSBC has taken the action because some of the money it collects goes towards humanitarian projects in Palestine. It was this week given notice that its accounts were being shut in two months’ time.

2. Israeli Peace Rally Cut Short by Hamas Rockets

Several thousand left-wing activists gathered in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square on Saturday evening, calling for an end to bloodshed in the Gaza Strip and a return to negotiations with the Palestinians…

The demonstrations were cut short when Hamas unilaterally ended a humanitarian truce with Israel and resumed rocket-fire from Gaza.

6. Somali jihadists of al-Shabaab call for jihad attacks on Jews worldwide

An Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen spokesman delivered a sermon in a Barawa mosque in Somalia on Sunday calling upon Muslims to attack Jewish targets everywhere, according to a report provided exclusively to The Jerusalem Post by the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor of MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute).

Speaking about the conflict in Gaza, Al-Shabab spokesman Ali Dhere said all of the “nations of unbelief” participated in the “aggression against Gaza,” mentioning specifically “the Americans who stood by the Jews in their aggression against the Muslims in Gaza.”

Al-Shabab’s news agency Al-Shahada reported the sermon in which Dhere blamed Egypt for locking its borders with Gaza.

He also blamed the United Nations for “protecting global unbelief” and for making do with “standing by as witnesses and condemning the crimes committed by the Jews in Gaza.”

(And yet it is still a crime for Jewish people, or any people for that matter, to carry a force equalizer anywhere in the world except Israel and the USA and I am not 100% certain about Israel and the USA)

  1. #1 When the FBI investigated and then shut down the Holy Land charity they discovered that all Islamic Charities give money to support the jihad.

    • Its the law. All Islamic charities have to abide with Islamic law. Soon it will be all charities.

      • Unfortunately you are right, this is why I keep predicting civil wars in all western nations.

  3. Fmr. Shin Bet Chief Warns: ‘If European Countries Fail to Protect Their Jews, the State of Israel Will’

In a blunt warning to a visiting group of European diplomats over a looming jihadi threat, a former deputy Shin Bet chief on Monday said “if you do not stand by our side, the day when Islamic terror will reach your homes, your beds and your kindergartens will come soon.”

Speaking with Danish, Swedish and Dutch ambassadors to Israel, as well as officials from the embassies of Britain, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Austria and Germany, Knesset Member Israel Hasson (Kadima), pointed out that “NATO bombed 5,000 civilians in Kosovo just because it was insulted; 27,000 Iraqi civilians were bombed during the American invasion because they posed a danger to the US; there is not a country in the world that can talk to us about morality.”

Hasson, speaking at an “urgent meeting” of the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee on the situation of Jewish communities in Europe, warned that “If European countries fail to protect their Jews, the State of Israel will. Jewish blood is not cheap blood.”

  4. Israeli PM speaks of ‘prolonged’ campaign in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel must be ready for a “prolonged” military operation in the Gaza Strip and will “act aggressively and responsibly” until the mission is completed.

[…]However, Netanyahu indicated in a televised speech Monday that he is widening the objectives, saying that a demilitarization of Gaza must be part of any future solution for the territory of 1.7 million people.

“There is no war more just than this,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu said Israel will “not end the operation without neutralizing the tunnels whose only purpose is” to kill civilians.

“We need to be ready for a prolonged campaign,” he said. “We will continue to act aggressively and responsibly until the mission is completed to protect our citizens, soldiers and children.”

  5. UK – Scotland – Commonwealth Games Scottie dogs ‘disrespectful to Muslims’

Use of Scottish terrier dogs during Commonwealth Games opening ceremony ‘shameful’ and ‘offensive’, Malaysian politicians claim

Malaysian politicians and religious leaders have attacked the use of Scottie dogs during the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, claiming it was disrespectful to Muslims.

[…] “This is just so disrespectful to Malaysia and Muslims – especially as it happened during Ramadan. Muslims are not allowed to touch dogs, so the organiser should have been more aware and sensitive on this issue.

“It is hoped this incident can teach other Western countries to be more respectful in the future.”

[…]”I think it is unbecoming. The hosts have not been sensitive enough – especially in a so-called knowledgeable and civilised society like Britain,” he said. “It is shameful and has offended not only Malaysia as a Muslim country, but Muslims around the world.”

  6. Huge blaze spreads at fuel storage depot in Tripoli (BBC/video, July 28, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28521551

“A huge blaze engulfing Libya’s biggest fuel storage facility in the capital, Tripoli, has spread to a second tank. Libya’s National Oil Company (NOC) has described the fire as “out of control”.

It comes hours after the authorities appealed for international assistance to try to contain the blaze. The government blames clashes between rival militias for starting the fire, which it says may cause a humanitarian and environmental disaster.

At least 97 people have been killed in fighting between rival militia groups battling for control of Tripoli’s main airport in the past week.

Firefighters almost managed to put out the blaze when it took hold of a first tank but had to withdraw after fighting resumed in the area, Libyan oil company spokesman Mohamed Al-Harrai told the BBC.

He said shrapnel hit the second fuel tank, igniting it, and the fuel compound was still being hit…”

  7. Nigeria’s Borno state bans cars during Eid (BBC, July 28, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28526358

“The use of vehicles in Nigeria’s north-eastern Borno state has been banned during Eid, the three-day festival that ends Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month. Eid started on Sunday in Nigeria, and authorities say they have intelligence that Islamist group Boko Haram is planning to carry out car bomb attacks.

Meanwhile, police say a bomb has exploded in the northern city of Kano.

For a third year the city’s famous Eid durbar, or horse parading ceremony, has been cancelled due to security fears. Boko Haram has carried out a wave of bombings and assassinations in Nigeria since it launched a brutal insurgency in 2009….”

  8. Ebola outbreak: Liberia shuts most border points (BBC/video, July 28, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28522824

“Most border crossings in Liberia have been closed and communities hit by an Ebola outbreak face quarantine to try to halt the spread of the virus. Screening centres are also being set up at the few major entry points that will remain open, such as the main airport.

Meanwhile, Nigeria largest’s airline, Arik Air, has suspended all flights to Liberia and Sierra Leone after a man with Ebola flew to Nigeria last week. The virus has killed at least 660 people in West Africa since February.

The outbreak began in southern Guinea and spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone. It is the world’s deadliest so far.

Nigeria has put all its entry points on red alert after confirming that a Liberian man died of Ebola after arriving at Lagos airport on Tuesday…”

  9. France offers Iraq Christians asylum after Mosul threat (BBC, July 28, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-28521778

“The French government says it is ready to offer asylum to Iraqi Christians forced to flee by Islamist militants in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Many fled Mosul after the Islamic State (IS) group which seized much of northern Iraq told them to convert to Islam, pay a tax or face death.

Iraq is home to one of the world’s most ancient Christian communities.

Two top ministers said, “We are ready, if they so desire, to help facilitate asylum on our territory.”

It was a joint message from Laurent Fabius and Bernard Cazeneuve, respectively foreign minister and interior minister in the Socialist government.

A senior Christian cleric in Iraq, Patriarch Louis Sako, estimated that before the advance of IS, Mosul had a Christian community of 35,000 – compared with 60,000 prior to 2003.

According to the UN, just 20 families from the ancient Christian minority now remain in the city, which Isis has taken as the capital of its Islamic state….”

  10. Emirates to stop flying over Iraq after MH17 disaster (BBC, July 28, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/business-28524628

“Emirates Airline will stop flying over Iraq to protect against the threat of Islamic militants on the ground. The airline told the BBC it was taking “precautionary measures” and “working on alternative routing plans for flights using Iraqi airspace”.

The move follows the Malaysian Airlines’ Flight MH17 disaster. MH17 was shot down while flying over Ukraine. Emirates said it is already re-routing some flights.

It will take a few days for the re-routing to be completed, the airline added.

“We are closely monitoring the situation along with international agencies, and will never compromise the safety of our customers and crew,” said Emirates….”

    • The objective should not be to give asylum to Iraqi Christians, thus helping Islam to clear all Christians from Arabia, as Mohammed desired, but to create new states in the the region for Christians only. That entire region needs to have its borders redefined. The old British demarcation opf boundaries and states, is past its useful life.

We have the power if we want to. If we ever had the courage to do so, it will gut Islam, and restore peace in he region.

      • Afraid it won’t work, DP. At least not in time.
Just rescue those you can, figure out what to do later.

  11. Syrian Casualties Surge as Jihadis Consolidate (abcnews, July 28, 2014)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/syrian-army-casualties-surge-raising-death-toll-24742018

“More than 2,000 Syrians — almost half of them pro-government forces — have been killed in just over two weeks of fighting in Syria, marking one of the worst death tolls in the country’s three-year civil war, opposition activists said Monday.

The reports reflect a recent surge in deadly attacks by the al-Qaida-breakaway Islamic State group targeting President Bashar Assad’s forces, signaling shifting priorities as Sunni militants seek to consolidate their hold on territory and resources in northern Syria.

Assad’s forces have gained momentum in the fighting with rebels seeking to topple him from power. Infighting also has hurt the rebel cause, with Islamic extremists battling more moderate fighters who have been greatly weakened by lack of weapons and clashes with the militants.

But a series of recent setbacks for the Syrian government at the hands of the Islamic State group threatens to overturn government successes, pitting the Syrian army against a formidable force that now controls large chunks of territory in the country’s north and neighboring Iraq….”
