1. A day or two ago at this site was posted an article about a massive police presence in Ottawa Canada in the South end of the city which is the most Islamic part of town. The papers said it was thought to be related to the ‘Crips’.

Mohamed Abdi Abdullahi, 31, an alleged Crips street gang associate, faces charges after a man police say is a low-level drug dealer was shot in the legs on Horsdal Private in the city’s south end last Thursday.
2. Gaza conflict: France jails pro-Palestinian rioters
The three men, aged 21 and 28, were given sentences of between six and 10 months for their part in the rioting in Sarcelles on Sunday.
A fourth man was given a suspended sentence while a minor received a fine.
(This would be a fine time to play the game of ‘switch the ethnicities and guess the jail times’ but why bother. Everyone knows what would happen if a white person for instance, tore up the street and threw chunks of concrete at police while screaming to commit genocide against the blacks or whatnot)

4. Nigeria’s Boko Haram blamed for blowing up bridge
Militant Islamists are suspected to have blown up a major bridge in north-eastern Nigeria, disrupting transport links with Cameroon, residents said.
Cars and lorries loaded with goods are stranded on the highway unable to cross the Ngala Bridge, they told the BBC.

PARIS – Days after two banned pro-Gaza protests degenerated into violence, thousands of demonstrators were marching through Paris under the eye of hundreds of riot police, this time in a legal protest.
Wednesday’s march tests a government grappling with how best to allow freedom of expression while containing violence — and hate speech against France’s Jews.
Jewish leaders say anti-Semitic chants and several attacks on synagogues reflect rising anti-Semitism in Europe.
France has Western Europe’s largest Jewish and Muslim populations, and the Middle East conflict often means rocketing tensions in France.
In two banned demonstrations last weekend, in Paris and the northern suburb of Sarcelles, groups of youths pillaged stores and attacked police.
Two synagogues in Paris were attacked July 13.

ISIS tells shopkeepers in Mosul that mannequin faces must be covered with Islamic headbags
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) told shopkeepers in Mosul the mannequins must wear veils. The veil is in accordance with Sharia law since “the human form is not depicted in statues or artwork.” Both gender of mannequins are to wear the veil.

NIGERIA – Bombs in north Nigeria’s Kaduna kill at least 82
KADUNA, Nigeria, July 23 (Reuters) – Two bomb blasts in the north Nigerian city of Kaduna killed at least 82 people on Wednesday, officials said, in attacks that bore the hallmarks of violent Islamist group Boko Haram.
A suicide bomber targeting a moderate Muslim cleric killed at least 32 of the cleric’s congregation on a busy commercial road. Shortly after, a second bomb blast killed 50 people in the crowded Kawo market on Wednesday, a local Red Cross worker on the scene, who declined to be named, told Reuters.
Thousands were gathered for prayers with Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi in Murtala Muhammed square, and when his convoy pulled up, the bomber lunged at him before being stopped by his private security, witnesses and police said.
“The attack was targeted at the sheikh. No arrest has been made yet,” said police commissioner Shehu Umar.
The bomb did not injure Bauchi, several witnesses told Reuters. Mustafa Sani, a volunteer for Bauchi’s mosque evacuating bodies, said there were 32 confirmed dead so far.
“Somebody with a bomb vest … was blocked. He detonated the bomb along with the person that tried to block him,” Umar said, adding that police had only been able to confirm 25 dead, with 14 wounded. Police sometimes give lower casualty tolls than workers on the scene.
A Reuters reporter saw blood and body parts scattered on the Alkali Road in the city centre. The military used pick-up trucks to cordon off the area. Sirens wailed as fire engines raced to the scene.
An angry crowd started throwing stones at police, who responded by dispersing them with tear gas. Some followers had come from Senegal, Chad and Niger to see the popular sheikh.

Iran leader urges Palestinians to keep fighting Israel
Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged Palestinians Wednesday to keep fighting Israel and to extend a conflict that has killed nearly 700 Gazans to the occupied West Bank.
“The only way to deal with this savage regime is to continue resistance and armed struggle and extend it to the West Bank,” the official IRNA news agency quoted Khamenei as saying.
Iran, which does not recognise Israel, is a supporter of the Palestinian Islamist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad that have been at the forefront of the fighting in Gaza.

1/ I see the Ottawa Police have been sued recently for alleged racial profiling. No accusation could be more unfair, I’m sure (until white folk start start ripping up the asphalt and screaming genocide); as the force protested at the time, it ‘represents our multicultural society’ and ‘race is only a fact as would be the age, sex, height and weight.’ Laudable sentiments. Though as ‘Invasion_inflation’, commenting on another Sun News about Ottawa gangs two year ago, observed:
‘You’d swear it’s a scripted plan: Don’t do anything about the problem under the pretext of “racial profiling”, have a few innocent bystanders killed, have people beg for a police state, then throw the charter out the window.’
