1.  KENYA –  4 Killed In Sunday Night Attack In Likoni, Mombasa

2. Hamas fires artillery from inside someone’s house at a tank. This is a Hamas propaganda video showing them using civilian homes to attack!

3. Hamas Interior Ministry To Social Media Activists: Always Call The Dead ‘Innocent Civilians’; Don’t Post Photos Of Rockets Being Fired From Civilian Population Centers

Following are excerpts from the guidelines:

“Anyone killed or martyred is to be called a civilian from Gaza or Palestine, before we talk about his status in jihad or his military rank. Don’t forget to always add ‘innocent civilian’ or ‘innocent citizen’ in your description of those killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. …

(This should be called, ‘Rules for Useful Idiots’)

4. Isis militants ‘seize Iraq monastery and expel monks’

Isis has seized large parts of Syria and Iraq and said last month it was creating an Islamic caliphate.

Mosul itself is now said to be empty of Christians.

The Mar Behnam monastery is run by the Syriac Catholic Church and is near the predominantly Christian town of Qaraqosh, to the south-east of Mosul.

(Anyone see any protests? Anywhere? In the world at all? An actual genocide as defined by the UN and not so much as a lefty with an 8 1/8 X 11 printed sign?)

5. Gaza conflict: France criticises ‘anti-Semitic’ riot

(Why is the BBC using scare-quotes? It most certainly was antisemitic)

Jewish-owned businesses and a synagogue were targeted in the suburb of Sarcelles, just outside Paris.

Shops were looted and 18 people were arrested as youths went on the rampage during Sunday’s protest, which had been banned by authorities. […]

Roger Cukierman, head of the umbrella group Crif that represents French Jewish organisations, said Jews were not just afraid, they were anguished.

“What’s happened in the past few days is terrible. They’re shouting ‘Death to the Jews’ and attacking synagogues. It’s completely out of control”, he said.

6. Nigeria’s Boko Haram ‘controls’ Damboa in Borno

The vigilante force defending the town fled on Sunday, and Islamist group Boko Haram’s black flag is now flying over Damboa, he said.

At least 40 people were killed when Boko Haram attacked Damboa on Friday, the vigilante leader added. The group has been fighting since 2009 to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.

(Yet the media still covers for this group, even hiding the part of his video where he chants, “kill kill kill kill Christians”. The reckoning will be fierce if it happens)

6. Philippines: 17 Rebels, 1 Soldier Dead in Clashes

A Philippine military official says 17 Muslim rebels from a breakaway faction and a soldier have died in renewed clashes.

Military spokesman Col. Dickson Hermoso said fighters with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement attacked army troops in two adjacent towns in the southern Maguindanao province.

Three other soldiers were wounded early Monday.

The rebels broke off from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the main rebel group which signed a new Muslim autonomy deal with the government in March.

(This was 100% predictable. In fact I think I predicted it when they signed the peace treaty. A peace treaty with muslims should never be done unless you have at least two trusted friends watching behind you when you hold the pen)

Thank you M, Yucki, Buck, Wrath of Khan, and more. In fact, more to come. An interesting thing or two as well. I might have busted the BBC setting up a classic bit of deception. If it works out I hope to post on it later today.

  1. Kerry promises $47 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza

CAIRO: The United States will provide $ 47 million in humanitarian aid to help Palestinians hit by Israel’s campaign in the Gaza Strip, Secretary of State John Kerry pledged Monday.

“We are deeply concerned about the consequences of Israel’s appropriate and legitimate effort to defend itself,” Kerry said in Cairo as he met UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

“No country can stand by while rockets are attacking it, and tunnels are dug in order to come into your country and assault your people,” Kerry told reporters.

“But always, in any conflict, there is concern about civilians — about children, women, communities that are caught in it,” Kerry said.

Of the funding, the United States will provide $15 million to the UNRWA, the Palestinian refugee agency, to meet part of its $60 million appeal for assistance due to the crisis.

The remaining $32 million will come from the US Agency for International Development, including $10 million that was already directed toward the Palestinians but will be rechanneled to meet immediate needs, the State Department said.
