2. Swedish Politician Fined for ‘Hate Speech’ Against Islam

Fria Tider (Free Times), translated by Frau Katze:

Sweden Democrat Party politician Michael Hess of Karlskrona was sentenced today (May 8, 2014) to a fine for hate speech after having connected the religion of Islam with rape.

According to the judgment, the statement is not part of a “factual and authoritative discussion” and it thus it does not matter whether or not the statement is true.

(Let’s think about that for a while. “it does not matter whether or not the statement is true.”. This, is the nascent end of the enlightenment and Western civilization.)

3. Christians persecuted at alarming rate in Iran, Arab world, US report says

Christians are under siege in the Middle East, and the Obama administration is not doing enough to stop religious persecution by its allies, according to a new report from a bipartisan federal commission.

The report, from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, faulted usual suspects Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as well as North Korea. The number of Christians in the Middle East has plunged to just 10 percent of the overall population from more than 25 percent in 2011.

(…plunged to just 10% of population from 25% less than three years ago. How does the UN define genocide again?)

  1. Beating a dead horse, of course. But:

‘Before it was annexed by Muslim conquerors, Central Asia was a place of utmost religious tolerance, allowing Manichaeism, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and Nestorianism to exist side by side.’

    – ‘Dust in the Wind: Retracing Dharma Master Xuanzang’s Western Pilgrimage

  2. This evening (Aussie time) an unaccountably unpolitically correct documentary aired on the ABC, on the weekly 4 Corners program . It concerned the horrific sexual abuse of young boys, some as young as 8, at bus stations in Peshawar, in Pakistan. It was a terrific exposure of this horror and of the attitudes to women in that hellhole of a region, near the Afghan border, – viewed as “the inferior gender”. One of the serial abusers of young boys explained contemptuously: “a woman is a thing you keep at home”. At the end of the program the studio anchor stressed that although the program focused on the sexual abuse of young boys, sexual abuse of young girls is also rife in Peshawar, particularly “in the home”. Of course, it is from Pakistan that most of the Muslim groomers of young girls for sex in the UK derive.

  3. Dust in the Wind, Chapter 4: Entering Ancient India

‘After crossing the Khyber Pass… Xuanzang entered the northern region of Pakistan…
‘Peshawar… City of Flowers… charming…. With the introduction of Shariah law in recent years, one wonders if this atmosphere will continue…

‘There are no Buddhist remains in Peshawar. The Kaniska Stupa, a place Xuanzang wrote extensively in Record of the Western Regions, is now an open graveyard…

‘This non-profit hospital was established in 1920 by a Christian church…their patients are mostly Muslim… In August 2001, a group of terrorists threw grenades at the front door of the hospital killing four innocent women…’

Bidding farewell to this country with its religious tensions, we follow Xuanzang on to Kashmir….’

  4. Daphne Anson their is an old Afghan saying “A woman for breeding a boy for pleasure” with the Islamic Conquest the pedophiles gained the right to do what they want when they want to whom they want.

  5. Early days here, I had to look up “pederasty” in the dictionary.
Who knew there were versions of pedophilia?

  6. One thing I have learned in my long life is that there are versions of every pervision.

  7. Thank-you, Richard. Bookmarked!
Nice in English. There’s a similar proverb in Spain, maybe Sancho Panza said it somewhere in Don Quijote.

  8. It is using old western slang rather then modern english, granted most country people would understand it while a lot of city people wouldn’t understand it. Sorry.

  9. Yup, being a country boy with a very large interest in history the slang used was always understandable, I forgot you live in the east in a big city, once again sorry.

  10. Abe, Netanyahu agree to join hands on defense, Internet security

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu agreed in Tokyo Monday to bolster bilateral defense cooperation, including in cyberspace. […]

Netanyahu… called on the international community to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program. Talks involving six countries and Iran are set to begin in Vienna on Wednesday to reach a full deal on placing long-term restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activities.

Iranian nuclear weapons would pose a grave danger to world peace, and they should not let that happen, Netanyahu said.

“Alongside our hopes for a more peaceful and prosperous world, we also know Japan and I face common challenges,” Netanyahu said at a joint news conference after the meeting with Abe. “First among them is the threat posed by rogue states arming themselves with a nuclear weapons.”

In a joint statement the two leaders signed after more than an hour of talking at the prime minister’s office, they agreed to hold talks between their national security organs in Israel, and to increase exchanges of defense authorities.

They also agreed to promote cooperation in cybersecurity, which Israel excels in.
“I am determined, together with Prime Minister Netanyahu, to make further efforts to strengthen Japan-Israel relations, so that the potentials are fully materialized,” Abe said.
