1. 234 girls are ‘missing’ from Nigerian school attacked last week by Islamic extremists – significantly more than the 85 initially reported by education officials

(Question: if the parents, brothers, friends or community members went out to try and rescue these school girls, would the world’s media call them, “Far Right Extremists” and make them look morally equivalent to the muslim terrorists who kidnapped them and, well we can make a safe guess as to what they do after that. Seriously. I want an answer)

Almost three times as many schoolgirls as previously thought were seized from an exam hall by violent Islamist extremists, it has been claimed.

A statement by officials had said that 85 girls aged 16-18, who were sitting a physics exam, were kidnapped from the school in Chibok, Nigeria last week.

But today the governor of the region, who visited the town today, said that grief-stricken parents told him officials had ignored them when drawing up the list of 85, and that in fact 234 girls had been taken.

2. US sending 600 troops to Poland, Baltics for drills

3. Crimean authorities move against Tatars and their leader

(I’m kinda leaning towards Russia on this one. Where are the Cossacks when you actually need them? It seems they are in Crimea. Where they are needed.)

4. Fatal MERS virus carried to Greece from Saudi Arabia

Authorities found on Monday an Athenian taxi driver who picked up a passenger arriving from Saudi Arabia on Thursday while suffering from a rare respiratory disease that has killed dozens.

The passenger, a 69-year-old Greek man who lives in Saudi Arabia, was diagnosed with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and is being treated in a negative pressure room at an Athens hospital.

5. Islam’s Tenuous Connection to Jerusalem

(The short article linked above is worth knowing. It is a powerful weapon against some of the typical leftist and Islamic arguments which claim this city, and some variant of it will be applied to Spain next, and then wherever it is you live)

Despite 1,300 years of Muslim Arab rule, Jerusalem was never the capital of an Arab entity, nor was it ever mentioned in the Palestine Liberation Organization’s covenant until Israel regained control of East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967. Overall, the role of Jerusalem in Islam is best understood as the outcome of political exigencies impacting religious belief.

Mohammed, who founded Islam in 622 CE, was born and raised in present-day Saudi Arabia and never set foot in Jerusalem. His connection to the city came years after his death when the Dome of the Rock shrine and the al-Aqsa mosque were built in 688 and 691, respectively, their construction spurred by political and religious rivalries. In 638 CE, the Caliph (or successor to Mohammed) Omar and his invading armies captured Jerusalem from the Byzantine Empire. One reason they wanted to erect a holy structure in Jerusalem was to proclaim Islam’s supremacy over Christianity and its most important shrine, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

6. Abu Hamza was ‘happy’ about September 11 attacks and praised hijackers, terror trial jury hears for first time

(Personally I think this guy should have his own American reality show. They could call it, ‘Bloody Abu’ and play it opposite Honey Booboo. It could feature comical clips of him trying to scratch his head and occasionally testicles with his hook and then, just to create a solid character-arc, he could wow everyone by playing Johnny Winter style slide guitar with it. And the end of every episode, someone gets to hunt him down in creative ways.)

Abu Hamza told how he ‘happy’ he was about the September 11 attacks in a broadcast interview, saying it left Muslims and non-Muslims around the world rejoicing, according to a tape played for the jury at his terrorism trial on Monday.

He did not hesitate when asked about the attack that killed nearly 3,000 people and could be heard casually speaking of the attacks in the undated interview with a Canadian broadcaster, even equating what Al Qaeda did to the hero in American movies.

He is currently on trial in New York after being extradited to the US to face terrorism charges.

‘Everybody was happy when the planes hit the World Trade Center,’ Hamza said in the interview.

Thank you Fjordman, EDL Buck, UK Pete, M and all. Tons and tons more to go. At least one new video translation and possibly two by end of day.

  1. #1 Not only would the play the moral equivalence game, they would imply that the families were really worse then the Moslems but because the reporters are nice people they aren’t going to say that.
