This story is too grim for the ‘short pig on the menu in North Korea’ joke I was contemplating for the headline. Someone needs to show this story to all the profs advocating communism at western universities.

News out of North Korean in notorious unreliable, but food shortages in the country have gotten so bad and people so desperate that there are now reports of men murdering their own children for food. These startling reports were compiled by independent reporters commissioned by Asia Press, a independent press agency focusing on Asia, and were published by the Sunday Times. And here’s one of the most disturbing thing you’ll read this morning:
The source said: “While his wife was away on business he killed his eldest daughter and, because his son saw what he had done, he killed his son as well. When the wife came home, he offered her food, saying: ‘We have meat.’
“But his wife, suspicious, notified the Ministry of Public Security, which led to the discovery of part of their children’s bodies under the eaves.”
And another from Gu Gwang-ho, one of the Asia Press’s citizen journalists said:
“There was an incident when a man was arrested for digging up the grave of his grandchild and eating the remains.”
Communism, Islam and all other forms of oppressive government are not only failures but they turn otherwise decent people into murderers.
I’m not surprised to hear stories like this coming from North Korea. Dictatorships of any kind, (whether political or religious) destroy humanity.
Just look at such societies, past and present – North Korea, the former Soviet Union, Maoist China, Pol Pot’s Kampuchea, or the vast majority of Muslim nations such as Iran, Saudi Arabia or Sudan.
Where would you rather live? They all want come over here, but I’ve never heard of any Western ex-pat choosing to live in any of those nations, at least not without any huge financial incentive.
Liberal Leftists just don’t get it do they? I think we should send them all over there and then after a few years we can ask them to report back to us. They can then tell us all how great their new lives are now that they are living in ‘Socialist utopias’.. Fat chance!
Destroy Islam and destroy Marxism and we would achieve World peace overnight, just like that!
Kim Jong Un is repeating his father’s actions. He’ll accept food aid in return for canceling the planned nuclear tests. Kim Jong Il did the same damned thing when he became leader for life. Bill Clinton even threw in free nuclear reactor on top of all of that food aid. The NK government sequestered the free grain and sold it allowing the famine to continue in the countryside.
Marxism in all of its many forms is one of the worst evils that ever existed, it takes rich prosperous nations and turns them into nations that can’t feed themselves.
