Britain is ‘self-segregating’ as white families flee urban areas for the countryside and outer suburbs.
The trend is causing an ‘ethnic cliff’, in which the proportion of households from minority backgrounds is vastly different in areas just a few miles apart.
Some outer London boroughs – including Enfield, Waltham Forest and Redbridge – have seen their white British population drop by as much as a quarter over the past decade.

Immigration is regarded by the public as the biggest issue facing British society, a major new survey taking stock of the state of the country reveals. One in three people believes tension between immigrants and people born in the UK is the major cause of division, while well over half regard it as one of the top three causes. Most people worry about immigration being too high, do not believe it is being managed competently, and fear that this could fracture our society. Politicians need to acknowledge these anxieties, but how can they find workable responses to them too?
Migrants are people like the rest of us. Human beings have always moved around the globe from the beginning of time. It’ s part of our nature. There needs to be a sensible debate on the scale of inward economic migration. Unfortunately, the tabloids and the coalition would rather engage in hyperbole and scapegoating. Many White people under the sway of Tory tabloids don’t even bother trying to distinguish between ethnic minority citizens and recently arrived economic migrants, regarding all and sundry as ‘immigrants’. When times are tough, people do look for scapegoats and it’s up to the government and the media not to indulge this (unfortunately) primordial tendency. A fact that is usually not mentioned by politicians or the tabloids is that it’s mainly British employers (of all colours and creeds) who take on economic migrants, often in preference to British citizens. Their excuse is that citizens are likely to be lazy whereas migrants are likely to be hardworking. I suspect what these employers really mean is that citizens will not be easily exploited, humiliated and underpaid, unlike desperate economic migrants.
Britain is in a Globalized world, Globalization has lifted millions out of Poverty and its currently responsible for the re-balancing of the worlds wealth, meaning that the West will inevitably get poorer as money rushes to all four corners of the world. So to all the people who are moaning about Globalization, do grow up. Its here, and here to stay. As for Immigration the fears are normally stroked by Political parties as an easy cheap shot, every one likes to beat up on immigrants, in particular every one’s favourite punching bag Asylum seekers. oh well, haters gona hate. Many French protestants came to the East End as religious refugees – are their descendants English. Many Russian Jewish people later came to the East End as refugees from pogroms carried out under the Tsar. Are their descendants English? What is English?

This is to be expected, the Brits don’t want to live in high crime areas where their own language is not used, the problem was created by unlimited immigration, the numbers should be limited to the number that can easily be assimilated.
What if we simply replaced English, French etc. by Esperanto? Esperanto is easier to learn for immigrants than English.
Here in Luton the drop in White British was even more dramatic.It went from 70% in 2001 to 45% in 2011. That’s a massive drop of 25%.in just 10 years. In 1971 the White British were 94%. showing that the rate of descent as gone sharply up. If the current trends continue the numbers will reach below 15% in the next 10 years. In short Luton is being well and truly ethnically cleansed by our treasonous politicians.

Ahmed sorry to say that the French and Russians were white and christian and within a generation even if they kept their religion they intergrated well. Muslims are mostly brown and their religion has been at war with Christianity for 1400 years, so cannot and will not intergrate easily. To paint this benignly when people are leaving for reasons of crime is dishonest. I have been to London. The air is fine. The quality of education should not be any different in London than it was in the past or any different than schools in the outlying areas.
I have been to the Grand Central Mosque north of King Cross. I saw the hateful fliers post on lamp posts by Muslims. I also say the behaviour of the Muslims themselves.

Very good points. If Pakistan can get nuclear weapons without becoming atheist or democratic, we can adopt corporeal punishment without becoming islamic. Muslims could be given a taste of their own medicine.

If they don’t learn Esperanto, we gain a secret language, and another common bond across Europe. Otherwise, the right mentality.
Bilingual Muslim children need to learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time they need to learn Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural heritage and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.
A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. he/she does not want to become notoriously monolingual Brits. British schooling has been forcing them to become notoriously monolingual Brits. It is a fact that British schooling is the home of institutional racism and British teachers are chicken racist. It is a crime against humanity to deprive a child form his/her mother tongue. Arabic is a religious language and all Muslims must learn and be well versed in Arabic to recite and understand the Holy Quran.Ed is very proud of his comprehensive school because students were speaking 60 languages. After leaving school, all those who spoke different languages, could only speak English because there is no arrangement for them to learn their own languages at school. Even teachers discouraged them to speak their language in school. British schooling regards bilingualism as a problem and not an asset. Sadiq was the product of British schooling. He is very proud that he is unable to speak, read and write Urdu language. I do not blame him. It is the fault of the school.
Legally, the state has an obligation to respect the rights of parents to ensure that ‘education and teaching(of their children) is in conformity with their own religious and philosophical convictions.’
The schools must satisfy the spiritual, moral, social,and cultural needs of Muslim pupils. State schools with non-Muslim monolingual teachers are not in a position to satisfy their needs and demands. Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school.
