Canadian reported to be among Algerian hostage-takers

I wish the CBC would put ‘Canadian’ in single quotes. No one who would work with Islamic terrorists to enforce sharia, destroy equal rights for women, work for the instigation of a new Holocaust etc. in any way shares Canadian values. Citizenship is not just an accident of geography, nor is it what papers you may hold in your pocket.

The Canadian government says it’s aware of published reports that the Islamic militants who seized scores of hostages at a remote Algerian gas plant may include a Canadian.

In a report Thursday, Mauritania’s ANI news agency said the hostage-takers came from Algeria, Canada, Mali, Egypt, Niger and Mauritania.

“We are aware of reports that a Canadian may have been involved in the hostage-taking in Algeria,” Department of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Chrystiane Roy said.

“We are pursuing all appropriate channels to seek further information and are in close contact with Algerian authorities,” Roy told CBC News.

Algeria’s state news service reported Friday that nearly 100 of the 132 foreign workers kidnapped at the remote Algerian plant by Islamic militants had been freed.

The entire west is riddled with traitors.

    He is no Canadian.

It’s the Western Governments (incl. Australia) that flog citizenship as cheaply as pimps sell their prostitutes.

It should be near impossible to obtain a citizenship (like a waiting time of 20 years proven good behaviour in the new country) – and it should be revocable at the slightest legal infringement by the “new” citizen.

  4. Rita says:

Oh, and the very suspect UN (and affiliates) should have no say as to who is a “refugee”.

  5. bains says:

Until we learn to be as single-minded as the fanatics – at home and abroad – we’re ALL hostages
