Nameless man charged with planning non-terror related acid attack on UK train

Weird that they have him in custody and charged him but they can’t seem to figure out what his name is.

Eitehr that or they won’t tell us for some impossible to fathom reason. And since typically when someone is charged they do tell us his name, let’s just call him, Oh I dunno, ‘Mohamed’ as a sort of generic one for now.

The scene at Middlesbrough railway station after the discovery of hydrochloric acid

A MAN was due to appear in court facing three charges in relation to an  incident at Middlesbrough railway station in which a bottle of hydrochloric acid was found.

The 27-year-old will face a  charge of manufacturing a weapon to discharge a noxious liquid, threats to kill and causing a public nuisance.

He was due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today.

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said the charges were not terrorism related.

Middlesbrough railway station was evacuated after a bottle containing hydrochloric acid was found just after 7pm on Sunday.

The hazardous substance was found in a soft drink bottle in the middle of a Northern Rail train which was due to travel to Darlington.

British Transport Police released two CCTV images of a man officers wanted to trace and yesterday the 27-year-old Middlesbrough man, currently of no fixed address, was arrested. He was then charged overnight.
