  1. In Australia we are calling this “chucking a sickie” ….call me cynical but it’s all a bit opportune to happen just when she was supposed to answer questions about Bengasi. So a “stomach upset” in mid December, leading to a fainting spell, end december, leading to a blood clot…..etc…is quite a strong (if not necessarily logical) suite of mishaps.

  2. Rita,

I’ve done that. And I don’t believe for a second that Hillary has anything wrong with her. But what I think this does is give the media a narrative they can work with as they forcefully ignore the facts of the Benghazi story on their way toward burying it entirely. People who don’t watch “right wing news” have no idea that there even is a “Benghazi story”.

The left have people so convinced that Fox News is the equivalent of Stormfront – so far-right that only a crazy neo-Nazi white-supremacist would even have it on the dial – that “nice” people won’t watch it at all. Right through the election, the MSM, not only slanted it, they completely ignored it. “Nice people” do not even know there is a “Benghazi story”. Without a hint of hyperbole, I believe that democracy is now completely dead in the USA.

  3. Did you see that big shipment of lovely state-of-the-art Abrams tanks that the Americans just gave to the Egyptians? I guess those will go with the state-of-the-art F-16s. I wonder how that feels, being an Israeli, and seeing your “allies” arm the Arabs with the most powerful weapons on earth?

The Americans have become so misguided now that they should step back from all world politics out of fear that they will only screw things up and make them worse if they try to do anything at all. Sort of like a person with sever Parkinson’s refusing to do eye surgery. Seriously. It really bothers me to hear Hillary wade in on what the Syrians should do and what the Russians should think, when nothing she says makes any sense at all in the real world. Talk about a bull in a china shop…

But, then again, how many minutes would it take the US to completely disarm Egypt if they felt like it?

  4. They are telling Obama what he wants to hear and continue to give them state of the art weapons.

  5. @ Chris Jones: “Without a hint of hyperbole, I believe that democracy is now completely dead in the USA.”
Join the club…of left/socialist governments – we are despairing here in Australia too. And well said about the demonising of conservative media.

“I wonder how that feels, being an Israeli, and seeing your “allies” arm the Arabs with the most powerful weapons on earth? ”

Nor should the “Sunday” people feel too chuffed about it – that brave little country, Israel is, as the cliché goes: “the canary in the mine”…cliché it might be, but then they often have a lot of truth in it. As to “Americans misguided”….only as far as they are “guided” by Obama, whom I do not suspect of complete naivity.

But the real (as in not “rhetorical”) question is: WHAT CAN WE DO ?????!!!!

  6. So, Richard, we have to fight like hell to prevent Obama, Hollande, Gillard and their ilk from getting any closer to the off-switches!

  7. Thats right, we have to fight like hell, and the off switches are closer to them then we are to getting in between.
