  1. Nice but I’d like to see it land like that after its been to outer space and back. It might be more difficult to find a landing spot once its thousands of Miles away from where it launched. But I agree the private sector is the way to go.

  2. Robert Heinlein’s jeep rockets are coming to life, private industry is doing what the governments won’t, hopefully the trend will continue until we are moving to other planets and solar systems.

During the 90s the US Army was working on the Delta Clipper rocket that did the same thing, one test flight of the remote controlled rocket resulted in a crash and the Clintons killed the entire project. The Delta Clipper was constructed from off the shelf components and the launch costs was projected to be around $10 per pound rather then the tens of thousands the through aways cost.
