Sounds like a good location for pattern bombing with napalm and Willy Pete.

Burning a inanimate copy of the Koran haram. Killing a helpless outnumbered living being over that burned book that he may have not even have done in the most cruel matter halal. The Religion of Peace has a picture of the incident. The man was savagely beaten by 70 people before being burnt alive.

Mohammad forbids burning the enemies of Islam, that is reserved for Allahs pleasure. I suspect Mo thought it might one day be his fate and having indulged in it early in his religion building, he decided to frown upon it later. Of course Muslims don’t always follow Mo in everything all the time, why, look at Catholics who used to eat hot dogs at Friday Birthday Parties.
