TV researcher, 24, forced to unmask pervert caller herself after 18 months of torment during which police ignored pleas for help

 Daily Mail:

  • Sophie Daysh from London paid online phone company to discover caller’s identity
  • Abdul Rafiq, 43, got her number after showing her a flat in Manchester

She was left distressed and frightened after being plagued by a phone pest for more than 18 months.

But when Sophie Daysh turned to the police, they told her they were powerless to help because the caller had withheld his number.

Eventually the 24-year-old TV researcher turned detective herself to expose the stalker who rang her all hours of the day and night.

Yesterday, after father-of-two Abdul Rafiq, 43, was ordered to pay her compensation, Miss Daysh condemned police for failing to take action.

She wasn’t “forced” to do any such thing… she could, like tens of thousands of other recipients of malicious calls, have made contact with one of the Malicious Calls Bureaux – every telephone provider has one – after the first call. And, of course, had she done so, the offender would have been identified after the very next call – at which time the MCB concerned would have handed over all of the necessary evidence to the police if she supported a prosecution.

The online Daily Mail “story” has now been pulled, presumably because this non-story just exposes how stupid this woman is.

The linked story does appear to be gone, but stupidity is never a reason that newsrag pulls stories…if they did, most would be pulled. There’s another reason for it.

Not knowing the full facts we can’t say whether or not she did what the other commentators suggested she should do. Unfortunately we have all see way to many cases where the police ignore the evidence against a Moslem because of political correctness, just as we have all seen trolls try and make the victim the criminal.
