(Reuters) – Nine people were hurt when unknown attackers fired at protesters camping at Tahrir Square in central Cairo on Tuesday, according to witnesses and Egyptian media, as opponents and supporters of President Mohamed Mursi’s plans to vote on a new constitution geared up for a day of street demonstrations.
Police cars surrounded the square, the first time they had appeared in the area since November 23, shortly after a decree by the Islamist president giving himself sweeping temporary powers touched off widespread protests.
The attackers also threw petrol bombs which started a small fire, witnesses said. Many of the protesters, awakened by the noise, chanted: “The people want the downfall of the regime.” Recorded recitations of the Koran were played over speakers in the square.

If I was Mohammed Morsi, here’s what I would do right now. I would hire a few thousand Jihadi thugs from around the world and set them loose upon the protesters in Tahrir Square, with instructions to hand-rape the women like they did to Lara Logan, and beat the crap out of the men. Then I would start identifying, arresting, and torturing the protesters who keep coming up on the crowd-scene photos. I would make sure that any journalist who spoke out against me would be found “mysteriously” murdered and I would go in and arrest bloggers and technicians who enabled people to get the internet. After a little while, things would start to calm down and then I would go back to establishing Sharia Law and a world-wide Caliphate with me at the helm. Sound good?

I was wondering how long before the guns came out, now we know.
Chris that is more or less what he is doing, but he is using home grown Egyptian jihadists.
