Iranian gay men being hanged
Four Iranian gay men are due to be executed for sodomy under their nation’s Shari’a laws, Pink News is reporting.
The four men — identified by the Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran as Saadat Arefi, Vahid Akbari, Javid Akbari and Houshmand Akbari — are set to be hanged after their guilty verdict was approved recently by high court judges.
“I am horrified and saddened to have heard the news about these four men,” London-based Iranian human rights lawyer Mehri Jafari is quoted by Pink News and LGBTQ Nation as saying. “Not only with regards to the execution which is about to take place, but the fact that is beyond our control.”
The news comes just two days ahead of the release of a new report on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Iran, which will highlight the problems they face in their own country and when they flee into exile, according to Gay Star News.
OT -UK -Teenager held for throwing ham at mosque
A 16-year-old boy was arrested by police investigating a hate crime after pieces of ham were thrown at a mosque.
The teenager was held on suspicion of a religiously aggravated public order offence by officers called to Broadfield Mosque in Crawley, West Sussex.
Sussex Police said “real anguish and anxiety” was caused to worshippers who witnessed the incident as they left the mosque at around 4pm last Tuesday.
Eating pork and products made from it is strictly forbidden in Islam.
The arrested teenager, who is from the local area, has been freed on police bail pending further inquiries.
Sergeant Jim Collen, of Sussex Police, said: “This was a very unpleasant incident which has naturally caused real anguish and anxiety amongst worshippers at the mosque.
“Sussex Police take all reports of hate crime extremely seriously and this investigation will be no exception.”
Disorder which broke out following the incident was also being investigated, police said.
Mr Collen said: “We are aware of a relatively minor altercation that we hope to resolve using our restorative justice programme.
“It must not be allowed to take the focus away from our investigation of the hate crime as this remains our priority.”

And the LGBT community in western nations keep supporting Muslims under the banner of “equality and non-racism”. They will help dig all our graves but, be among the first to fill them with their bodies and lifestyle.
@ Thom….A portion of the LGBT community keeps supporting muslims, mainly the activists, they don’t necessarily speak for everyone, it just seems like it.
